Hey guys. So I've got 4 more episodes in Season 5 of Doctor Who and I was thinking about taking a break from Doctor Who for a while. I will finish season 5 before I take a break if I do. It's a lot of work recording 2-3 episodes of Doctor Who a week and I've been doing it since November. It's getting to the point where I dread days I have to record DW. I think I'm going to take a break from it and react to something else as a Patreon exclusive for a while. I wanted your guys input though before I decide on anything. I know a lot of you enjoy the Doctor Who reactions, but I feel like I'm not going to be doing it justice if I continue the pace I'm at. Your feedback is always appreciated.

Take a break please, it’s your time and energy, and it’s better to take care of yourself

Adam Grunther

Honestly you should do what you feel is best. Dr Who is a VERY long show with an hour episode each. I feel if it’s a Patreon exclusive and you go at your own pace instead of rushing them out, it might be better.

Lee Goldberg

Fair enough, though Matt Smith's run gets MUCH better in Season 6 and 7

ximechata

you deserve a break! like others said doctor who is a LOT and breaks between seasons are something plenty of people do. i’d personally love to see more movie reactions from you, but the important thing is that you’re reacting to something you can really enjoy and invest yourself in

JSMcGordon

Take all the breaks you want. As long as you return to Doctor Who at some point :-)

JSMcGordon

May I suggest trying RWBY?

LikeCat

It can and IS a lot... And it shows in your reaction, not a critisizem just noticed that you've been kinda ,,out of it" in last few reactions. Take as much of a break as you need, we will understand don't worry. (Even if we (Whovian) can be a LOT at times)

ShadowDust

Aw man. This is sad news because in my opinion, season 6 is the best season ever of doctor who it’s got so much interesting plot, plus an episode with Michael Sheen. That being said, if it really is too much, don’t be ashamed of taking a break! I will eagerly anticipate season six whenever you’re ready

Feel free to take a break Morgan whenever you want. Regardless of how much you're enjoying the show, when it feels like a chore to record and react then it sucks all the fun out of it. Also just take breaks whenever you need to in general of course 😊

MxFlix

honestly, completely understandable. There's a *lot* of Doctor Who, and especially because the quality can vary a bit, it is probably a good idea in general to enjoy it in smaller bursts, whenever you feel up to it 😊

LikeCat

Another thing that you can try once you get back into reacting to DW... Try uploading every two weeks instead of every week (Keep the two episodes if you have time and energy for that), that way it isn't as much of a ,,chore" and you can really let the episodes message/ story/ stuff set in without rushing into the next one.

Jules Moum

Hey, if it's draining your energy, you have every right to take a break. I know this show can be a lot. And tiring if one sees a BUNCH of episodes right after each other. Plus these episodes are minimum 40 minutes long. Besides, I prefer you taking a well deserved break, and get your stamina back up, so that you can enjoy the show. As for what you could react to in the mean time, may I suggest this movie that's called "The Sea Beast"? It came out 2-3 years ago, and it's on Netflix. It quite entertaining imo😊 Unless you've already seen that🤔, I have another suggestion: "Back to the Outback" which is also on Netflix. Great movie😁

NatMcK7

Hey that's fine with me, honestly I've been wanting you to react to more David Tennant content anyway. So I say go for it. I'd recommend David Tennant's Broadchurch for a reaction show if you want it. I'm not into Matt Smith either anyway haha. I miss you reacting to David Tennant stuff.

SPIKELB!

You should always think of your health first instead of what others want. You do you! If your looking for something to react too might I recommend Warehouse 13, The Librarians or the Now You See Me movie series

Jeal Tar

What you could do is after your break going forward maybe just do 1 episode at week unless it like a 2 parter

Saph

I'd rather not force yourself to watch a show that you aren't enjoying so if you need to take a break then take a break

temp89

:( Genuine enthusiasm is kinda a requirement for good reacts so it's not like we can force it. Is there any value in skipping ahead to the remaining 4 Tennant episodes?

DigitalPirateCAN

If you're not enjoying it then you definitely need a break, do a pull to see if we have subjection, and when you feel like you're up for more DW go back😊

Dinker

If you're not happy, feel free to take a break or drop your schedule for them. Like one every other week is fine. Nobody on Patreon is giving you money because they want you to have a job you hate. No worries. I didn't even think you were going to watch this season

Willow 404

Don't even worry about it! I think we all agree we'd rather wait until you're in a state of mind to properly enjoy the show instead of just forcing yourself through episodes for out sake! Take all the time you need

Tintros

Do what you gotta do for your mental health! :) I love having your videos to enjoy every weekend, but one episode vs 2 (or 2 vs 3 when tobecontinued) would still be very welcome. Working yourself to meltdown or burnout doesn't help anybody.

The_Fish

Makes sense, you’ve watched so much of it to fast that you’ve caught up to and passed other reactors who have been watching it for a couple of years. Burnout is very understandable. Take all the time you need

tapdisneyintome

Honestly, if you feel burnt out, better to take the break rather than building a resentment and when you do come back to it maybe keep it to just 1 episode so you don't burn out so quick. Since I imagine the daunting length is part of the issue, maybe something short like Over The Garden Wall would be better?

Joey Quixote

Do what works best for you! I love the Doctor Who reactions, but if they're too draining, take a break. In the meantime, if youre looking for a replacement, I have a list. But I'll be waiting for the official request.

Vex Valor

I definitely think you should do a break if you are experiencing burnout. It'll just make your reactions suffer and it's not worth it. If you want to react to something else, I suggest picking something that only has one season or maybe do a few movies. Something that gives you short breather before you are ready to return to it. A cool idea would be instead of watching something new, react to some of your favorite shows and/or movies that you haven't seen in years and barely remember. Rewatching something you already know you like is a great remedy to burnout.

Riley Lupus

I agree with everyone! Take a break if you need to and can find something else to replace it 💕

Gaudi Daamen

Nothing wrong with taking a break from reacting to a show.

Chris Dryden

I’m enjoying your doctor who reaction but I understand needing. To take a break it’s a big show

Ash Vander

OF COURSE YOU SHOULD TAKE A BREAK!! watching doctor who is like running a marathon and we're all already exhausted enough from everything else! if you need a break, go for it! doctor who will always be waiting!

Sarah Mishmash

I say drop the show and find something else that sparks joy. Maybe a show you’re excited to start? Or even just more David Tennant things tbh

Sarah Mishmash

I say this as someone who dropped DW immediately after David Tennant left, so feel no shame in this decision

Cecelia Thomas

You have all the time in the world to do anything you want. Take a break. Take care of yourself. As a few others have mentioned consider how often you want to react to Doctor Who and how many episodes at a time. Episodes are long and often heavy content. I have been a Whovian since the late 70s - I won’t binge watch them yet I love the whole series. And ultimately if you decide to stop here and move on, that’s okay too.

Chloe Small

Doctor Who is one of the reasons I stayed a Patron for so long, but you definitely should take a break if you're feeling burnt up. Perhaps you could try filming 1 episode at a time (save for two/three parters) for Series 6?

Morgan Terry

I plan on doing Over The Garden Wall for fall this year actually!

marauderluverz (Luci)

Im definitely on board with you taking a break, it would also allow me a chance to catch up on those reactions. Also, if you start it up again at some point maybe you can cut it down for how often you post them. Just since its so much work. But please take that break.

Jules Moum

Oh, nice. It's perfect for Halloween😈🎃 season. That's my opinion anyway😅

Jules Moum

Really😯? Re-watching old favorites to cure burnout? Sounds like something I do whenever I feel like I'm running on low battery, and need a good laugh😊

Chance

That Shen's and understand me to debate, just what? You know when you're gonna have to start?Ing love and appreciate me more than

Dinker

You're going to bust out like 5 seasons of an hour long show over the course of 8 months. That's ridiculous turnaround for a reactor with all the other shoot you doing. I didn't even think about that until I was telling a friend they should get on the Patreon to watch it and all the other stuff. Crazy work ethic and dedication, you always impress me.

Kelvin James Landon

You can take a break if you need to, but I would love to see your reactions to "The Name of the Doctor", "The Day of the Doctor" and "The Time of the Doctor"

LikeCat

They will (when they are ready to jump into it again), also ,,The Doctor's Wife" - Series 6 Episode 4 I believe - For two reasons (hope they don't miss the writer of that episode and a ... Certain Actor's voice they MIGHT recognize (?) --> It is distorded enough that I KNOW who it is voiced by, but also its VERY different from the usual voice I (and many others) assusiate with its VA)

Andy

Are you planning on returning to DW? I just watched all of your reactions and would love to see more but I realize it's been about a year so just curious
