AND SO IT BEGINS!!! Crazy, now I’m watching 3 reactions to RWBY, each at DRASTICALLY different points in the story lmao

Liam Gradwell

I have been thinking for ages Mosco needs to cosplay Torchwich and Morgan has made that wish come more alive! 🤣❤️🤍🖤💛

Tammy Ragsdale

They didn't give a different name for Weiss before, Blake was just using her first and last name; Weiss Schnee. She may grow on you.

Rachel Mae

You're reaction to torchewick looking like mafia boss mosco is sending me

Robert Hunter

The villain's name is Roman Torchwick based on a mafia boss/hitman type of character. Weiss Schnee is based on Snow White, Ruby Rose is Little Red Riding Hood, Blake and Yang will be disclosed at a later date. There is a reason why all four have unique abilities that will be known further in the series.

CheetsAC7

Jaune being compared to Ron Stoppable is a new one for me, but actually works surprisingly well. I remember first time watching these first few episodes, my thoughts being "oh this is Hogwarts but with guns".

Robert Hunter

Also, Ruby mentioned her Uncle Qrow, and yes that's how it's spelled. We'll meet him at a later date. The blond guy "Vomit Boy" is named Jaune Arc (you got it) based on Joan of Arc. "Mafia Mosco" comment had me on the floor in laughter, because when Mosco did her reaction to Roman appearing, she commented "Who has a hair color that red in real life?" Later, she turned to the camera and gave a subtle smile. LOL

Jules Moum

6:48, "Why does this character look like Mosco?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Now I can't fucking unsee it🤣🤣🤣🤣 19:58, "She's gonna kill me😂😂😂." Only if she catches you😉😁 44:07. Same here Morgan. Blake, Yang, and Ruby have all become my favorite characters. Each for a different reason 47:07. Augh, I WISH I could be the annoying older sister to my brother! But since he has autism, I can Never do that😫! That's why, I've mentally adopted one of my best friends to be a younger brother to me! I don't annoy him All The Time, but when I get a chance or see an opportunity, I fucking take it!! 🤣🤣🤣 Also, 47:11, *"THAT'S MY SISTER!" and she got so fucking embarrassed! She fucking let me have it afterwards" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Aaaaah, I wish I could've done something like that to my brother😂😂😂. It'd be a core memory for the rest of my life! Last edit: I really enjoyed this reaction. And now I'm off to watch your newest reaction video. See ya✌🏼

Ep 1: Roman's design was based off of Alex from a Clockwork Orange, even if his fairytale allusion is actiually Lampwick/Candlewick from Pinocchio. Also, the narrator at the beginning was voiced by Jen Taylor who did Cortana in Halo. I'm not a Halo gal myself but I still think that's a neat pull. Ep 2: I’ve always loved that Jaune’s scabbard turns into his shield. Just a neat little touch to his weapon design. Weiss is pronounced like how you would say 'Rice'. Ep 3: The Shadow People are a fun little thing they were kind of forced to do back in the first season due to their low budget. Although, I will say it does lead to some fun little jokes, such as Jaune’s “Where am I going to find another nice, quirky girl to talk to?” only to reveal another designed character standing behind him. Also it makes a fun game of Spot the Main Character. I love the little tidbit that Yang used to read Ruby stories at bedtime. It’s cute. And also just the way Ruby socks Yang straight in the face. Ah, sibling love. It comes in all forms.

Flufux

I mean, when you said you were reminded of Joan of Arc when we met Jaune Arc...that is because that's exactly who he's based on. Same with Glynda Goodwitch (who works for a guy named Ozpin), who is definitely a reference to the Wizard of Oz.

Evil Queen

I’m so using the mafia boss Mosco now in the discord lmao awesome first reaction, I can’t wait to see more! Easy way to think of Weiss’s name pronunciation: Whyss

David Johnson

Yeah, "Mafia Mosco" is going to be my name for Roman from now on.

David Johnson

Glynda's upset a 16 year old kid got involved fighting gangsters...with machine guns...which is kinda understandable. Hunters and Huntresses are sort of what Park Rangers would be if the animals in those parks were a) everywhere and b) constantly trying to kill all humans. You are about to enter an almost infinite pool of backstory...good luck! Those on Remnant don't consider Dust to be magic, any more than we consider electricity or oil to be magic.

Suplee215

Nice. Yea i feel like a ket concept ofnthe show is the school and the characters are kids. Basically its a mix of high school and college with nost year ones being 17. That really sets a different tone than I expected.

Zirkumflex

Oz being irresponsible? Impossible!

Haverian

Welcome to RWBY! This show is great fun to watch but you can dive surprisingly deep into it if you want. As you’ve been told everyone is an allusion to some fairytale or legend, but don’t think of them exactly as 1-to-1. Characters can have many different allusions layered together and sometimes even trade allusions back and forth. Also as you might have expected, “It’s also a gun” had become a bit of a catchphrase in the FNDM, as everything truly is a gun here.

David Johnson

And even if it's not a gun...it's also a gun.

Vex Valor

It's actually pretty funny that you keep referencing "this character makes me think of this" and it's literally the character they are based off of. Remember RWBY characters are all based on fairytales, classic fiction characters, and historical people. RWBY is not anime because it needs to be made by Japan to be anime as anime is simply the word for animation in Japanese. However RWBY is heavily anime inspired. Think of Weiss's name like the word "wise" with an emphasis on the i and s in the word. Hopefully that will help you remember the pronunciation. She was introduced as Weiss Schnee in the episode. Schnee is her surname and she is the heir to the Schnee Dust Company. Yang is my favorite character as well. ^^ I love the black silhouette characters. They don't matter lol

Yoshinatorsaurus

Funny thing, everything you said these characters remind you of, is ACTUALLY who they're based on. Except for Torchwick looking like Mosco, which I can't unsee now. 😂 He's based on Lampwick from Pinocchio and Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Also, Wiess has always been her name, Blake used her full name in the trailers.

Verdigree

I would also say, you might find the lyrics to the songs very informative if you’re trying to analyze characters <3

Verdigree

This show is considered an American anime, it streams on Crunchyroll, and there’s a Japanese-made AU spin-off

Verdigree

If it helps to remember, Schnee means snow and Weiss means white, and is pronounced the same except it has an s. I think it’s possible you may have slightly misheard, Blake did say “Weiss” normally, she did say “Schnee” wierdly, but there is no Wes here, is just Weiss like white, like Snow White, and the song in her trailer was “Mirror Mirror Part 1”

Verdigree

Oh yeah, Weiss rhymes with ice

Saph

I’m so glad your loving the show already! It’s such a amazing show that only gets better

S.K. Kramer

I'm so happy you're enjoying the show! And yeah, RWBY's a lot funnier than it gets credit for. You actually nailed it with Jaune (the blonde guy, or, "Vomit Boy"). His name is Jaune Arc, and yes, it's meant to sound like Joan of Arc, because that's indeed the character he's inspired by

Hollyhock

Torchwick walking that way isn’t because of the low budget animation, he’s just fruity like that lmao

RetroBeastto

Asking Mosco to cosplay Torchwick is diabolical

Ryan

"Mosco please cosplay this character!" Let's make it her Trevor Project Truth or Dare sacrifice for next year. (And Elijah can cosplay [spoilers]). "Does he think he's fucking Prince Charming?!" I mean, all the characters ARE based on fairy tales, so he could be sharing a bed with Prince Charming...

SK- Eferthigra

shhhhhh trust the joy everything's fine everyone's happy ignore the rug under your feet for a few more seasons nothing tragic and emotionally scaring is going to happen I promise 🤞

Zora Brightwood

I guess you can remember how to pronounce Weiss name by thinking it's like saying Ice but with a W at the beginning. Their names, for memory's sake, are Ruby Rose, Yang Xiao Long, Blake Belladonna, and Weiss Schnee. For Weiss, her name literally means White Snow in German.

Tigerhawk

It hasn't been on Crunchy for a while, though it is on HULU now.

Phoenix_mercury

Easier to remember just w-ice, literally

Phoenix_mercury

1) easy way to remember Weiss is w-ice 2) dust =/=magic any more than electricity=magic

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

Those animals all exist here along with the creatures of Grimm

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

Oh, no...no...no. there is no such thing as magic here. It's anime inspired, or anime like. Anime comes from Japan, and some from China and Korea. It looks like a bow, the problem is that it is the same color as her hair

Xandreomus

Are you gonna watch the World of Remnant vids too?

Jittercritter

The irony of Goodwitch interrupting news about a civil rights protest being disrupted by apparent extremists in order to say ‘our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace’ is crazy work

Becca ^-^

I seriously can’t get over you pronouncing Weiss wrong. It’s so so funny to me 🤣🤣 And the fact that you think Mosco should cosplay torchwick is um… yeah….. you’ll see about that 😂😂😅😅 I knew you’d love this Morgan. It does truly get better and better as time goes. Can’t wait to see the next one ^-^

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

One of my all-time favorite bits of BTS trivia for this show is that when they got Jen "Cortana" Taylor to come in and record the opening narration, they hired her for an hour of work. Taylor, however, nailed the monologue in a SINGLE TAKE, and so the directors had to come up with BS alternate readings and "suggestions" just to fill out the rest of the time.

DKscribe88

I forgot there were loon sounds outside the castle. My favorite bird song! Love to hear it outside my window in Summer. Also, hey! Just joined for the RWBY as well as other series. Been following on Youtube for a while and decided to check out Patreon. Favorite RWBY character is Yang with Blake a razor-thin second. Good to be here! Love your work, Morgan!

Lamar Hayward

Oz. Yes, it's triggering. I'm Gen X. It's suppose to get your attention and have you listen deeply. The younger generations in America are soft. I truly understand my senior generation, the Boomers. From my perspective, Oz threw a jab. Enough to get your attention. When people older than you take jabs, listen.

Reverie Mephisto

When Blake said her book was about a man with two souls, I immediately thought of Willow of Ashes by Ellie Raine. Oh, and John has got to be a play on Ron. If not, who I wonder?

SQX Barto

And Yang's name is Sunny Little Dragon in Chinese, I think

Todd Lucas

Blake: "it's a book about a man with two souls..." Remember that. Remember that VERY well.....it WILL come back.

Alexis Cardillo

Man the whiplash I’m getting having recently watching Elijah’s RWBY’s reaction, seeing her finishing up and now starting again and seeing the RWBY right back at the beginning. Oh don’t you worry the girls are going to go through a journey and so are you. Jaune’s name is on purpose, that was not a accident
