Edit Omg yes yes yes it’s here. These sets of episodes always gets people interested in the series Yes I know Jaune is questionable with his skill but something you missed is that he’s really good at analyzing a battle and making tactical moves with his team. This is seen with the battle against the death stocker. Nit strong but very quick minded

Juane and Ruby both came up with the plans their teams used to win. More so than Ruby Juane is the plan type leader. Certainly needs help on execution but hes tactical

Hey, being the one to be good at swords isn't the only part od leadership! Both Jaunne and Ruby are actually the ones who co-ordinate their teams skillsets and came up with the plans to defeat the scorpion and the bird

the thing about Jaune; while he isnt the most technically skilled, and he is far from the best fighter, there were several key moments where despite these faults, he displayed the characteristics of a leader. During the fight with the deathstalker, he didnt hesitate to run alongside Pyrrha and be a shield for his teammates, he also showed a strategic mind, quickly issuing commands that allowed them to take the beast out with relative ease. He may not be the best fighter, but he has heart, and a keen mind that make him perfect to lead. Something similar can be said for Ruby, although her leadership comes more naturally to her, she has a magnetic personality, and her ability to inspire others is unmatched. It was also her plan that defeated the Nevermore, as pointed out by Weiss during the fight. Something i constantly have to remind myself with our main 4 is that Weiss, Blake, and Yang are the same age, two years older than Ruby (who is 15 in Volume 1, with the others being 17), I always remember Ruby is the youngest but i often forget that Weiss is that full 2 years older, probably one part her immaturity and another part her height being closer to Rubys. another thing to note, i see your commentary about humanity being invasive to the natural environments of animals, but for once this isnt propaganda; the creatures of Grimm are *literally* soulless monsters whose only purpose is to enact destruction and death, regular animals exist too, the Grimm are not that.

multiple people have said this already but ill just agree ruby and jaune were picked due to them both being the ones to take charge in the last fight oz wasnt looking for strength but leadership qualities also since you already figured out jaune is based on jone of ark knowing her story helps get a picture of who jaune is going to be similarities between them jone used an old rusty sword that use to belong to a hero jone was a brilliant leader and jone had to lie about specific things to be in the army as well as had no combat training also while im on the topic of team jnpr all of there allusions are gender bent and all of them have famous myths about them crossdressing so that's fun

Being the best fighter isn't the same criteria as the best leader. Look back at the fights they were in. For Team JNPR, Nora wouldn't make a good leader. She is chaotic and tends not to communicate thus tends to run off and the team loses her. Pyrrha is a very strong warrior, but she is soft spoken and tends to let others lead. She followed Jaune and listened to his judgement instead of making her own. And of course, Ren prefers to fade into the background. Jaune was the one making plans, directing them, communicating, and understanding what everyone's strengths were. Who to tell to cut the scorpion tail. Who to nail it into its head. Then with RWBY, Yang doesn't really want to lead. She goes with the flow and a bit short tempered. Ruby was the one making a plan, taking action, and staying on task while not letting it overwhelm her.

I love that you love Nora's chaos as much as I do. There are other reactors that do, but not many. There is so much more to love about Nora and I hope you find them in your viewings of the upcoming volumes. Believe it or not, my favorite five characters (or errrrr.....critters) don't include the main four girls despite my love for them with all my heart. Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren are the only two I can mention of the top five (being the reason to watch RWBY in my humble opinion), but the other three have the initials of H, E, and Z. You'll meet them eventually :) Nora, though, is truly queen of the castle of RWBY.

Ep 8: This was the episode that got me hooked into the show, which I’ve heard is a familiar experience for a lot of people. Everything is pretty stellar. The music, Monty’s fight choreo, and finally having the teams set. And to think, this is just the set up for all the potential these kids have. Ep 9/10: Don’t worry, the bunk beds only look unstable. If you look at the posters in the back of the class you can see the names of some of the Grimm: - Nevermore - bird/raven - Deathstalker - scorpion - Boarbatusk - boar - Ursa - bear - King Taijitu - two headed snake

"It's everyone's FAVORITE time!" That is a dangerous word to use when watching RWBY... just ask Mosco ;) "I'VE SEEN BETTER BONDAGE THAN THAT!" (makes a note of a truth for next year's Truth or Dare Live Stream) The bed bondage looks very stable to me. Those lashings are perfectly tight and I'm sure they're anchored to the ceiling securely. And just because it's Ruby's bed it doesn't mean that she tied the knots. So now you'll be asking yourself, which one of the three older girls is really good at knots? Meanwhile, the book piles are relying entirely on friction and the stacks are probably uneven. And they will accumulate dust and other filth. It's been so long since I re-watched volume one that I forgot how much of it was Weiss' arc to grow out of being raised by corndogs.

33:30 I have watched this show like 8 or more times by now, and I JUST noticed that Weiss changes her outfit from her school one to her combat one between scenes here, now I'm just imagining her leaving to go change, and everyone else sitting in silence waiting for her, or maybe listening to professor Port babbling about his adventures lmao.

Jaune had the plan to defeat the Scorpion Grim - he became the Leader Ruby had the plan for the other one. Both of them showed leadership capabilities. (Not necessarily the strongest fighter has to be a leader) "They need a lesbian." - According to the ships by the fandom, they are mostly bi or lesbians :D (depending on which ships we think about, most of them have more female pairings than male pairings :) But shipping is a dangerous thing in this fandom, so we shouldn't go there :D There are four Kingdoms :) The closer you are to them, the safer you are, because more huntsmen/huntresses are protecting them. Ruby is probably not the best in school, but she is probably more experienced (or has heard more stories from her family) than Weiss.

"Of course you came up with this idea" -Ruby made this whole "dream team" plan to defeat Nevermore (bird) so that's obvious she will be the leader. Also Jaune did the same - he said to Pyrrha to cut off sting and Nora to pin it down. Both of them command well and was able to come up with plan under pressure.

Jaune is the leader even if he didnt know how to fight, just like Joan of Arc didnt know how to fight but was an amazing leader for the french army and was inspirational for the soldiers , he get the weaknesses and call them quick, monty did said once that this episode didnt show up as he planned due to time, he wanted to show jaune noticing the scorpion weaknesses more but didnt managed to put it more obvious, so it kinda looks like he just called names during the fight instead of commanding the others Being the leader doesnt mean being the strongest of the group, thats why on most D&D partys the leader is usually the bard or the wizard and not the barbarian (unless is one piece)
