You called that crap from the JUMP I was very impressed. Asked all the right questions too, I’ve never even seen anyone point out Jaune’s lack of jumping abilities being suspicious during the collapsing pillar scene in the nevermore+deathstalker fight. Please note: Pyrrha only moved his shield, not his sword. She made sure he protected himself, but that sword swing was all him!

Juan's twist js so well done. Because it is so in character and part of the story that you easily forget the meta reason. Which is that having a relatively new person who doesnt know anything is a common media trope to allow for easy exposition. The writers get to explain aura( which wouldnt make sense to have to explain it to Ruby despite her being the youngest ) or the basics of fighting or how weapons work and why they are weird because Juan is literally not trained for this. Now explaining what dust is to Ruby in the exact way Schnee had it? Makes sense for Ruby to focus less on what her bullets are made of and who sells them. But majority of the basics of this world should be general knowledge for any freshman in college which I am basically looking at Beacon as. And instead of it looking like a giant neon sign saying "this is the trope" it just has dumb but wholesome Juan.

New RWBY headcanon: Jaune’s Bully is now called Dick FrBrains. 🤣💜

Btw, I recommend reacting to or at least checking out each volumes soundtrack at the end of each volume. Your friends are waiting till they finish all 9 volumes. When they do they will realize they should have checked them out after each volume. It will help you understand the characters, the world this show takes place in, and the plot more. Us the soundtracks are awesome.

Phoenix_mercury

Also having ruby know some stuff(aura, semblance ect) but not others(specific details about some things) also makes sense because she is the youngest and was moved 2 years ahead ergo didn't get those 2 years naturally like others in her year would have

Suplee215

Yea. Makes sense for her to bot know the details. But she shoukd still know the basics. A lot of media will still use Ruby to get the point across though.

Ep 11/12: So, this was the first time the show got tears out of me. Jaune saying that he was tired of being the idiot stuck in the tree really got to me, mostly in part to Miles Luna's great voice acting. It's silly that this is the scene that got me but hey, it did. Ep 13/14: Ruby really was just like “let me spit some sick bars and then bounce.” And thus the introduction of Semblances. Basically everyone gets a special little power. Ruby's is speed. Weiss is her glyphs. Pyrrha's is polarity. And I do love we've seen Pyrrha use her polarity before. If you go back and watch when Pyrrha is first introduced and she throws her spear at Jaune, she doesn't even touch it when she retrieves it. Little touches like that are so fun to go back and look for. Yang literally did not move when a dude ran full speed into her. Girl is sturdy. This arc gets a lot of flack and I get it. It's a pretty generic bully arc, and back when RWBY V1 was originally airing it dragged on for four weeks with people only getting four to six minute length episodes for each of those weeks. So, I can see where the frustration was coming from. Now though, with the ability to binge the show, it's honestly not that bad. I only came to the FNDM after V3 so I just got to binge it.

Again and im gonna keep saying this why is cardin allow to do straight up hate crimes in public without getting expelled

Adrian ruiz martinez

Me after morgan say they would let a rat eat their way through cardin: am I in love?

Adrian ruiz martinez

Only now I realize that the shot were cardin and their teammate are looking down a jaune and saying "let's see how much of a man you really are" looks like the beginning of a gay 🌽

Suplee215

The books basically answer this. Mild spoikers for after the fall and before the dawn. Velvettte's personal method for dealing with discrimination is to endure it, turn the other cheek and avoid it as much as possible. She doesnt tell the teachers. Now that can be very ineffective but so can getting them expelled and that will put more of a spotlight on her. Or on Cardwin and he becomes the leading spokesperson against faunus. Personally I think he should be expelled. But this is also a few weeks into the semester. He could easily be on the short list to be gone.

Morgan: see jaune, you're capable *jaune immediately gets smack around*

14:41, "Pyrrah, I know I'm going through a hard time right now, but I'm not That Depressed!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Well, it's good to know he's not 💀😰 18:19-18:32. And, it shows that you're admitting that you're not strong enough to carry it alone. Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness, (at least to me) but it's a sign that you want to become stronger. Idk if that made much sense. 20:18. Buzzcut Bitch🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!!! I'm SO calling him that from now on🤣🤣🤣 28:00-28:17. Ngl, I want to see that😅😅 Last edit: I really enjoyed this reaction and looking forward to the next one😁. I hope you're having a nice day/evening, and I'll see you in your next reaction Morgan. Peace✌🏼

"How much caffeine has this person had?" All of it, apparently.

Wildgameseeker1

Now Morgan can see why I say they are like Nora now. 13:00 at least Morgan sees my thought that Oobleck drinks cocaine laced coffee

Jaune may not have strength or technique yet, but he has initiative and determination. When he decides he is going to do something, he does it and doesn't give up so easily. When they ursa was attacking, he took the initiative to fight it and got back up every time it knocked him down.

Phoenix_mercury

Yeah like some stuff she's gonna know(at minimum from going to combat school) and others she's not(from being moved ahead early from said combat school) and it's brill the balance of knows Vs doesn't

Verdigree

I know a meta thing I learned from the fandom, the problem is I don’t know exactly at what point in the show the creators said it, or if it was simply a thing they figured out. There’s no mystery of who inspired Jaune, but I don’t know if I should shut up about his teammates or not?

Verdigree

Have you never had cold hands? Has your hand never gotten tired of holding you mug in the regular pose? Have you never been at a combat academy for heroes and decided to test your hand endurance and strength? Many possibilities

Ryan

It's cute how Ruby and Yang share the same vocal inflection when they say "Nope!" - popping the 'P' extra hard.

LikeCat

Its a family thing... You KNOW what I mean

Phoenix_mercury

All but one are extremely obvious with time, the one that's not is because most don't know the *original* version of the tale that is the inspo for the character🤷

SauceyRed

Got money now so I'm back, I've only been gone a few weeks but I have so much to watch now, yippeee!

Faroth

How much caffeine? - yes

Faroth

He is also a tank, he took all of cardin hits, then all of the alpha ursa hits, and he keep standing back up to keep fighting

Faroth

Jaune is a tank, he got hitted by cardin and an Alpha Ursa and he keep standing back up to keep fighting. Yes, he lacked training, but thats exactly why ozpin allow him in, lets be real, ozpin knows he faked those scripts, but he saw the determination and potential in jaune. He has determination, calm in the storm and the energy to protect others. Here comes the chess pieces thing: team jnpr took the white tower pieces while team rwby took the white horses(knights) The horse is an attack piece, the tower is a defense piece, that defines their styles, ruby lead to attack, while jaune leads to protect others. Ruby is a fighter (or a pact of the blade warlock), while jaune is a paladin, he swore to protect the ones in need, that included cardin, thats why he is a leader, he guide others even ifthose others fight better than him, and he will still be standing while the others already run out of energy

Faroth

18:40 the reason he didnt accepted the help is exactly because he never attended a fight school. He is like a 1st timer in a gym trying to match the weight that lift the dudes who can literally lift the machines Jaune lacked training, so for his pov, everyone there is "gifted", is like when people say to artists that they are good at drawing because they have "twlent" and then when they attempt to draw and is bad, they think they are automatically bad or that they need to magically improve in a few days, and saying an artist that they are good because of talent is like throwing away their efforts and practice that let them be that good. Jaune didnt attended a fight school nor have training like them, so he lacked that perspective, he thought they all are "just that good" and that he magically has to "solo that level up", like if the others never trained or get help to be that good, because he hasnt seen them training and since day 1 he saw them being awesome

Todd Lucas

The reason Jaune was chosen as leader was because he actually does have great innate leadership and problem solving skills. I mean look at what he did....he figured out EXACTLY how to get past all of Beacon's screening tests to sneak into the Academy, he was the one who came up with the snapfire way to kill the huge scorpion in episode 8, despite having ZERO qualifications to be leader....his team falls in behind him without hesitation. That kind of loyalty can't be bought. It has to be earned.

Alexis Cardillo

Impressed that you were on Jaune right from the start, most people don’t or think it’s that trope for most MC
