All my homies hate Jacques

Symbolic Remnant

“Never ask a woman her age, a man his salary, or a Morgan how much they want to kill an animated shitty dad.” I believe the consensus for what the white trailer was is that daddy dearest set up a test for Weiss to try to dissuade her from going to Beacon, by having a captured Geist (the possession Grimm from last episode) inhabit one of the suits of armor. Also, the family of Weiss Schnee has a short butler named Klein Sieben who can be Grumpy or Sneezy with the shift of an Eye Color. Finally, you’re very perceptive about Whitley… except for his name

Adrian ruiz martinez

"I thought it was gonna make angry, but now i think Is gonna make me sad" Me: PORQUE NO LOS DOS??

LikeCat

Spoilers for MN: And they (and people only knowing MN through the show) hadn't even met Beau's (and TJ's) dad... Or the Tavelle kids' (I really hope we will get that in the show, mainly because I wanna see them animated - there are a few fanarts of Dreda, but basically none of Elrick (for obvious reasons) and I wanna have my heart broken)

Meghan Ross

This was a really good episode. And to answer your question about Klein. He’s supposed to represent the seven dwarfs. He’s all the personalities in one.

Adrian ruiz martinez

Ohh morgan, the world is blind and you're wearing spectacles

LikeCat

He is the seven dwarves to Weiss' Snow White

Phoenix_mercury

His full name literally translates to little seven 😁

LikeCat

I know, its adorable. 😊

Suplee215

Atlas didnt sneak anyone in. Besides Penny being a robot. The soldiers were kut in the open and went with the general. After the train attack, the general was also put in charge of security so having the soldiers made even more sense. The issue is the robots got hacked but the general public dont fully knkw that. Communication is gone. Can still be a show of force or something, but Ironwood was very open abiut what he was doing. Except for why as no one else but the circle knew about the maidens.

Adrian ruiz martinez

"Can you stop opening up the pyrrha Wound?" ha Haha Hahaha Hahahahahahhaha HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAJAJAJAH!!!!

Vaerin

We also gota remember the end scene is months after Beacon so Jaune has been doing this to him self for a while man is punishing himself.

Dreanner95

It actually makes sense why Ruby dreamt of Pyrrha: She heard her voice while sleeping. It is implied Jaune does this for every night. So Ruby hearing her voice while sleeping triggers her own memories. Also Klein Sieben is basically all Seven Dwarfs in one. The change of the eye color signifys another personality. That is most obvious with "Sneezy" and "Grumpy".

Lavender Onyxheart

Just fyi Morgan, it's Whitley, no -ian on the end there

Mare

This is the first time I’ve ever hear a reactor pronounce Whitley’s name as “Whitleyanne.” I can’t stop laughing and I needed a serious laugh these days. 🤣🤣🤣

Moonas

You are not crazy, in her trailer she was fighting with one of those armors (Which are replicas of her grandfather armor)

Rachel Mae

Yea with Whitley people new to the show watch this ep and write him off as a brat but Winter and Weiss didn't exactly make good first impressions either and Whitley is stuck with all of Jacques' attention on him Jaune my boy 😭 always putting him in the blender he needs a beach episode frrrrrrr

BrightHeart

CRWBY also mentioned at RTX London 2016 that he has D.I.D (Dissociative Idenity Disorder)

Robert Hunter

Kline, the family butler has multiple personalities and his eyes change color in sync. Loosely based on The Seven Dwarfs from Snow White (Weiss).

Robert Hunter

RWBY is one of the few shows, animated or otherwise, that the consequences of war is made a reality with no happy endings. Something that appears to be lost in today's society!

CrowOfAFeather

Whitley* lmao!!! You kinda like WHITLEY but you immediately distrusted Winter and thought she was sent to spy on Weiss for their father?? wooow... "he seems the most tolerable of all the members we've met" lmao whaaat Yep, Jaune has seven sisters; he told Pyrrha during the dance. "I had no idea you were a dancer." "Yeah, well, these things tend to happen when you grow up with seven sisters." No, there are other evil forces on Remnant, not just Cinder and those people. This was indeed bandits. Oh, and Ruby and co. are in Mistral; they are heading to Haven Academy. Yep, Klein's eyes does into different colours, that's no secret. He is Klein Sieben to Schnee Weiss. Mirror mirror.... You freaking out about him and assuming the worst is hilarious.

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

♪Whitley Ann, Whitley Ann, marching in his own parade. Whitley Ann, he's like one in a million! Whitley Ann, Whitley Ann, much too cool for seventh grade...♫

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

You're probably right about Ironwood offering Weiss an "escape" — he's surely well aware of Jacques' abusive nature, and Winter left for Atlas Academy as soon as she could and never looked back. The big difference, though, is that Winter's trauma response is flight; Weiss', however, is fight.

Legiblestew

I am always so impressed how well you can read the people in a scene. The way you just know how Weiss' family operates 🤯 And great catch on the photo of Whitley and none of his daughters or wife in his office! Idk if you caught it. But her had a huge painting of himself in his office too. 🤢 And yeah.. Jaune's training scene always gets me no matter how many times I see it. Its so beautifully animated and it says so much without actually saying anything. To end on a lighter note.. Fun fact about Klein! His va is the husband of the va/singer of Apollo in Epic the Musical~

Luke.H

to explain klein Sieben's eyes he is based off of the 7 dwarfs from snow white and the 7 dwarfs. each eye-colour corresponds to a mood/dwarf which he can change on a whim but also happens unconsciously when he sneezes too ( I could be wrong about the on a whim thing so please fact check if not). I believe this is his semblance. fun fact his name literally means "small seven" in German I believe based on what I have read.

BGTitan

So the problem with the Dust embargo is that Dust is the main resource in how other Kingdoms defend themselves from dangers, including Grimm. Not to mention Dust is used to power everyone’s cars and electric and heating. Dust is the universal power grid for the world of Remnant. So Ironwood ordering an embargo could potentially cause so many issues for the rest of the world if they run out of Dust. Klein is the Seven Dwarves to Weiss’ Snow White. Each eye color is a different dwarf. We just saw Doc, Grumpy, Sneezy, and Happy - indicated by each different eye color. The whole reason RNJR was going to Shion in the first place was because they had an air ship they could hopefully catch a ride on so they could get to Mistral faster. I like the subtle detail that you can see the demolished ship in the background once they find the Huntsman. I’ve always loved that shot of Ruby walking at night with the fireflies right before discovering Jaune. Absolutely gorgeous and to think the series only gets more beautiful from here.

James Pagel

As well as happy and as primarily doc the more muted eye color his name is german and means little seven

blackbird350

So fun fact about Jacques Schnee he canonically wears a clip-on tie. Some reactors noticed his tie was for some reason animated differently to everyone else's and they asked the creators of the show about it. So Miles Luna (I think) said something along the lines of "Yeah, why not? This professional business man is unable to tie his own ties"

Indie Doodles

He also has her sash around his waist, it always gets me each time </33

Faroth

5:00 yes, is the armor, it was possesed by a Geist, the grimm we saw in ep1 of this season, which does exactly that, take innanimated objects as a body, like the rocks and trees or in this case, a giant set of armor Jaques tried to put an "impossible task" on Weiss as a condition to let her go to BeaconAcademy, fight and win against the geist in the armor that they have in a containtment, and she nail it

Faroth

One thing most people agreed about the weiss family, the Schnee, is that they represent the 4 responsive ways of a traumatic relationship, in this case, an abusive father: Fight: Seen in Weiss, early on, her defensive mechanism was aggression, control, and an explosive temper, driven by a need to feel empowered to avoid being hurt. she started to heal on this thanks mostly to ruby's dumb behavior. The white trailer is this too, she HAD to fight the geist grimm armor to 'prove' his father that she was capable of being a huntress, his dad put that tests as an "impossible" test, but she beat it anyway and earn her way out Flight: Seen in Winter Schnee. Her solution to household abuse was to literally run away and isolate herself in the Atlesian military to almost never speak with her family Freeze: Seen in the mother. This response causes immobilization. She coped by completely dissociating, self-isolating in the manor, and ignoring the world, getting into alcoholism and total disassociation of her own kids. She basically just let him do whatever he wants as long as she gets to not be annoyed directly by him. She is probably the more depressed of them all... Fawn: Seen in Whitley. Fawning involves pacifying the abuser. To survive in a hostile home environment, Whitley tries to obey and serve in every aspect he can to the abuser, to his father Jacques, to stay safe and "maintain a false control." So even if he seems like a brat, he is probably in the same situation as Weiss but dealing with it differently. Imagine hisnpov, he only has weiss since his mom dont put attention to them and winter leave them... then weiss leave him too, leave him alone with their dad... so you arent reaching, thats a nice analysis of him, whitley was smiling because he was fawning

Zirkumflex

Morgan: "I am not sure if I will be angry or sad after this episode" CRWBY: "Why not both?"

Bowser's Rage Stage

Wow, you immediately picked up on a lot of subtleties with Whitley (his name's not Whitleyen, it's just Whitley), you're very perceptive. Jaune is a great male lead, I'm glad you like him so much. It's such a damn shame so many people in the fandom looked at him and went "no he is the exact type of toxic masculinity self insert that his character is meant to lampoon" I'm sorry, I can't take Jacques seriously, he looks like Colonel Sanders XD. Still, Jacques being introduced ranting about how he isn't actively making infinite money despite having more wealth then most of Remnant will ever see in their lives, and attempting to use the fact that his daughter was at ground zero of a terrorist attack for his own personal benefit while simultaneously forcing Weiss to go along with it says a lot about who this guy is. (Ironwood's proportions here are also so funny to me, he's like 70% leg and his arms are tiny T-rex arms) And last but not least, PYRHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (no further elaboration needed)

TheCasualNerd

As far as the intros go I think the only one thats particulary bad about spoilers is volume 8. Which is a shame since the song is a banger. But if you analyze it for any length of time it spoils a bunch "please dont emotionally devastate me" oh man are you not in the right show for that XD The knife is inserted now, it's gonna be twisted constantly forever and ever.

Erinyes

I'd like someone to explain to me how the contents of the intro, if viewed at the intended time, could be a spoiler? Like, CRWBY meant for you to see that stuff.

Faroth

One thing to notice: Pyrrah's message is animated in the old software, as a legacy of the past

Erinyes

If other kingdoms can't import dust, yeah, they'll have a hard time going to war. But on the other hand, they'll also have a hard time defending themselves from either Atlas or the Grimm. Of course, Jacques' motives are purely financial, but that doesn't mean he isn't (partially) right.

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

This OP is extremely spoilery , but less so than volume 3's...you should avoid them to a certain chapter for each volume. You're Mods can tell you when it's ok to watch. Oh, and will you be mad or will you be sad....I guess why can't it be both? never occurred to you....The creators got us all. Made us care about so many characters in a cute show about killing monsters for 2 plus seasons, got us hooked then all we get now is this. Yes, the knights armor came from this mansion but a geist grimm like we saw last episode was in it. It was a test that Weiss's shitbag of a farter made her do to let her go to Beacon. He is the reason she has that physical scar to go along with the emotional ones he has given her. When she was arguing with Blake about why she hated the faunus, I realized when she said that things the fanus did made her father angry and made her have a difficult childhood that he probably was abusing her. I wanted him dead and didn't even meet him yet. I wanted her to be protected at all costs after that even when she was being a bit of a bitch. She has been my favorite ever since. I am glad she isn't a red head. ...pray for Nora

Joe

So many people hate Whitley when we first meet him. I'm so glad you don't and realise he is just as abused as Weiss is.

Celly

This is my favorite volume of RWBY partially because Ren and Nora are now front and centre and I love them. Ren's reaction to the village of Shionne, the death of the huntsman, the crashed airship (you see it in the background) they hoped to use, and the mysterious marking in the ground......well I will remind you of something you did comment on way back when. Early in Volume 3 at the noodlestand, Nora went off on a blathering rant and she actually revealed that Ren and Nora are orphans. They have no parents. You might be onto something, Morgan. Maybe not. You have proven very insightful thus far and I think you know when something is awry.

Verdigree

Now, people MAY have strange names sometimes, but that character is just named Whitley, which is a real name

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

Ruby has been hearing that recording every night while she sleeps. Juane trains with that every night. He hasn't healed at all from what happened. I haven't either

Verdigree

Say hello to Clip-On Tie Jacques Schnee! I should say that what his point is, though he’s motivated by losing money, severing trade of resources the rest of the world needs may not be helpful

Verdigree

It’s very funny to see it not click, but Wiess Schnee is Snow White and Klien is the Seven Dwarfs is what’s happening here

Phoenix_mercury

*Weiss *klein and yes his surname is sieben meaning little 7

Phoenix_mercury

*Klein(I only correct because his full name translates to little 7)

Phoenix_mercury

They literally tell you X character *is* gonna be in this volume(sun for example, before the intro their was no indication he'd be in the volume but the intro shows that wherever blake is/going so is he), as well as showing characters that we don't know yet which is basically the equivalent of someone starting a new show and immediately being shown photos of characters from(in this hypothetical) the end of the volume, some shows are better at it than others and some literally show character deaths in the intros... Mosco skipped them until they was spoiler free

Phoenix_mercury

Was nice to see them realise that with his sister's gone and mother "already in the garden" that the only one left to bear the brunt of jack-ass... Is the baby of the family

SK- Eferthigra

it never actually tells you in the show but Clein is the seven dwarves from the snow white story, he has a multi split personality his eyes change colour depending on who is in control I believe it has something to do with he's semblance but I don't know again never mentioned in the show

Phoenix_mercury

1. Yeah dust(basically)=electricity 2. Yeah his full name translates to little 7 which is cool

Phoenix_mercury

Tbf their first on scene interaction with winter was her literally slapping Weiss(a character we've grown to love) and berating her(at this point in time it wasn't *as* obvious how deep the schnee issues ran) whilst whit's first is letting her know about their mother and the state their father is in so she can mentally prep

Phoenix_mercury

He supposedly has DID, not "multi split personality"(not even the original name, that was multiple personality disorder which is outdated)

Phoenix_mercury

Which I still find 😬 of that choice *but* give it a pass for being positive "rep"

CrowOfAFeather

I mean, fair, but only seconds before/after, Weiss clocks Ruby in the back of her head with a fully clenched fist and that's seemingly fine lol

Faroth

Weiss schnee = snow white Klein = the 7 dwarfs

Faroth

Morgan is one of the few reactors who noticed this burden almost instantly, most just say he is a brat and spoiled kid, even mosco and elijah said that initially

Mare

😂 the classics.

Mare

Apparently we’re supposed to pick it up from his name, Klein Sieben which translates to “Small Seven”

SK- Eferthigra

Im awaer of that condition but i said it the way i did because im pretty sure his multiple personalties are caused by somthing else not the mental disorder that is usaully a symtom of abuse

Luna

So, Weiss is Snow White…

Jittercritter

Blown away by the emotional intelligence and empathy you have towards these characters, it’s so refreshing and satisfying!

Ryan

Morgan: "Go away, CRWBY, you bring only trauma!" CRWBY: "I also bring you character development." Morgan: "Ah, thanks, that's ni-" CRWBY: "It's also trauma."

Ryan

(Monkey paw curls)

IvyMoons

Well RWBY made you both angry and sad this episode

Bowser's Rage Stage

Also the Jayce/Ironwood comment is so funny because the two of them have an uncanny similarity to each other, especially when Ironwood has the stubble

Jyoster

Thinking they were going to be mad, to then thinking about being sad. Oh you poor soul, it's both. Yeah, we all hate Jacques. That's something most of the FNDM can agree on. Fun fact: Many believe he has a clip-on tie. As for Klein, he shares an inspiration with Weiss. Think of multiples which can be related back to her. And here we have CRWBY's favorite pastime, reopening the wounds in our hearts.

David Johnson

Jacques and Odalia Blight would get along well...

Chloe Small

In a series I watched, a character's voice mailbox just says "You're old. Text me." I dunno why but your cell-phone-during-work rant reminded me of that. XD

Ronja the fairy

So,, the amazing digital circus episode 9 got leaked. Important parts, like the ending are leaked. "Ayy lmao" made a video explaining it (spoiler free). I recommend you watch it (and be careful when being on the internet) (just commented this on your newest video)

Ivonne Chavez

Ooof still gets me teary eyed🥲

Phoenix_mercury

Crwby has said he(either has or has the equivalent of) DID, and I'm fully aware of the cause as someone who has DID

Phoenix_mercury

Ikr! Also I enjoy when he gets to "be a brat", like he's a ~15 year old abused kid under the permanent eye of his father, 15 year olds are supposed to be a pain in the ass at times, let him act like a damn teenager because heavens knows he can't when their father is even remotely nearby, also this immediately makes me curiously hopefully excited for a scenes in v7 in jackasses study👀

Phoenix_mercury

Those two have a known onscreen clear bond, the first thing winter does on screen is clobber her sister

CrowOfAFeather

I mean, yes, fair, but it's not like Weiss' bodylanguage changes, she's clearly comfortable around Winter and not cowering like she's being abused. It's still surreal to me to see people jump to the conclusion that Winter would hate Weiss and work with her father after their whole interaction that episode.

Sarah Stephens

Rwby does indeed take you to dinner after f**king you over. But It orders the lobster and expensive wine then sneaks out before the check comes to get you again.

Xýliandra

What😃? Klein's va is married to Epic's Apollo va?! Cool

Xýliandra

Oh dear... it's that episode😶 7:35 It's Whitley not Whitleyan😅 31:32 PYRRAH😭 Last edit: I know I didn't say as much in this video, but my head has been 💨 this week. And, yeah, this episode was... Rough😮‍💨. Anyways, now I'm off to watch your newest MLP FiM reaction. See ya Morgan✌🏼

Erinyes

My word, oh no, new characters where shown in the intro! How scandalous! That's not a spoiler. Y'all have become so obsessed over the very notion that you might see something before you're "supposed" to (even though you were intended to see it there) that you're cutting out actual parts of the show you were fully intended to view. What's next, are we going to declare foreshadowing to be spoilers? "Don't watch between 3:11 and 3:37 because it alludes to events that'll happen in a later episode!" And Mosco skipped the intros entirely. She never went back and watched them. So that was entirely missed because y'all convinced her that it would somehow negatively impact her experience to watch them. Good job.

Alexis Cardillo

As a long time RWBY fan I can say that the Pyrrha wound never truly heals, I still cry at this scene with Jaune and the recording! This show really knows how to throw our emotions through the wringer.

39

Peak volume 4 feels

SauceyRed

21:32 If people called me and it was something that could've been a text, I'd tell them that during the call every time until it they understood it lmao, fortunately the only people calling me are delivery drivers and some of my friends when they *really* want me to join them in hanging out.

Hollyhock

I really appreciate you giving the benefit of the doubt to Whitley, he is just a kid after all. And few people pick up on the implication of their mother drinking early in the day.

Raven

Klein’s eyes are representing the 7 personalities of the 7 dwarves

seraineity

20:33 i love your reaction to jacques name lolll

Luke Teasdale

I mean drinking in the day isnt necessarily sign of dysfunction.... thats just a normal thing in European families especially German ones like the Schnees, Schnee being snow in German that she is drinking alone is the sign of dysfunction
