If it makes you feel any better, Tary is Sam's replacement for Scanlan. Created to especially annoy everyone at the table becuase thats how Sam shows love

Hey Morgan. So for one Tary was Sam's character in C1. Second, the reason he doesn't voice him - THE main reason - is that during the recordings for S4 (around two years ago) Sam was still in recovery after his Cancer surgery... So yeah, not the best reasons to be away from recordings, but he is fine now (obviously)

I do wonder if they would have went looking for someone else to voice him anyways. Because having a different voice there adds more to missing Scanlan. As the other reason is what required it we wont get a answer to that but Wayne Brady is doing great

Just a heads-up, the woman you mentioned who led the fight is not the Whispered One. Merely one of his followers. The Whispered One is still banished to another dimensional plane as the Briarwoods weren't able to bring him across as they planned.
