I like how they include both versions of brainiacs origins here. How he was both a different alien race from Colu which is his original design and how he became a supercomputer/AI built by Jor-el (supermans dad) which was done in superman the animated series

You mention American "history" with the events on ancient Krypton and it's a fascinating reversal of history. The Kryptonians appeared to have, at best, bronze age technology. The Coluan had interstellar flight. The power gap between the two is orders of magnitude greater than that of the Native Americans and the Europeans, but the outcome was flipped. It would be like giving Carthaginians a batallion of tanks - and the means to maintain them. Rome would have fallen in a day. But one man having the power to bend the universe to his will has never been the fantasy of Superman. It's one man having that power, and using it for good. And I think the writers nailed it.
