Hello Morgan! Before you get into V7, I think it might be important to know a bit of real world context: - Atlas is based off of the USA. This becomes very apparent very early on in the volume, and gets a bit on the nose at times. - the time from the start of V7's airing and the end of V8's airing was from November 2019 to March 2021. I think this is important to know especially because RT was based in Austin TX, and we all know about the political state of the US in that time span. Also, Qrow's VA changes in V7.

We don't know if Adam was intentionally branded. My theory is he got into a fight protecting someone ornstanding up to a bad order and got slammed into a machine used for marking crates or machines or something. Can also see Adam trying to unionize and Jaques sending thugs to shut him up and send a message and either intentionally branded him or again a fight caused accident. Mainly becuse we see nk one else witb a brand of any type. Still totally mess uo and still doest justify how messed up Adam behaved either

Neo has an insane illusion semblence. Yes everything she does is illusiom based. Any time it looks like shes teleporting she just wasnt there. So yea her illusions hve some weight. And when the illusions get shattered from damage they shatter into glass. Its certainly among the strongest semblences we see and versatile. In fights shebuses it to cause confusion of where she is and what to pay attentjon to And can be used outside fights plenty

Nevermore is probably my favorite track in V6! Here's a few fun facts about it: 1. The song is actually a duet! Adrienne Cowan's lines are from Yang's POV, while Casey Lee Williams' lines are from Blake's POV. 2. The song title "Nevermore" refers to a track from Beauty and the Beast, called "Evermore". Which is where Blake and Adam's fairy tale motif comes from. 3. The song directly references Adam's theme, Lionize, in the first verse 4. A few of the lines also reference "From Shadows", which was the track playing in the Black Trailer all the way before V1. 5. The song has an arm pun ("I'm more like an ARMy now"), which is more than likely thanks to Yang's voice actress, Barbara Dunkelman, who snuck in pretty much all of the arm puns throughout the show.

Ep 12: I’m thrilled to finally have Adam gone but I also appreciate Blake’s reaction to his death. She’s not celebrating or spitting on his grave. She’s distraught and sad and probably relieved and probably so many other emotions. Despite it all, Adam was someone that she at one point did hold so much love and affection for. From ages 12-17 he was someone so important to her, despite the fact that he orchestrated it that way, that he groomed her. Neither her nor Yang celebrate that he had to die despite everything he did to them. However, I will celebrate for them! Finally that bastard is dead! Oh, it’s Lenny the Leviathan! Hi, Lenny! Ep 13: Ok, so, Neo's semblance is basically making physical illusions that shatter into glass. What Cinder was fighting at first was just a illusion copy of herself before the real her joined the fray. You can tell because when Neo first appeared her clothes were clean and she wasn't wearing Roman's hat, but then when the fight got taken outside suddenly her clothes were scuffed and torn and she had the hat. Her semblance allows her to disguise herself and others, or cover a retreat (like in V2x04). It's like Emerald's but Neo's illusions, obviously everyone can see cuz it's not just in peoples' minds. I will never not get emotional when Ruby starts going through all her memories and we get to see not only shots from the first few volumes but also tiny baby Yang and Summer with an actual model. It’s obviously just a retooled Ruby model but it gets the job done. I mean, Raven’s model started out as just a palette swap of Yang’s so… Consistency. And that’s before we mention Indomitable playing when she finally uses her Silver Eyes. I cry, man. Every time. Without fail. That song is my freakin kryptonite. Nevermore is a Bees at Adam song. Duet between Casey and Adrienne Cowen. The first non Williams family duet on the soundtracks if I'm remembering correctly. So ready for V7 man!

The credit song Nevermore isnt sung by Blake's VA but it is very much a Blake song and is a direct answer to Adam's song Lionize Lionize: "You'll see I'm their hero I'll be lionized I have the strength to do what's needed Unify our people with no compromise Champion the truth until they recognize Lead them to salvation and regain our lives" Nevermore: "You think you're someone's hero You're hiding more than your eyes I challenge your weak manifesto The goal of a savior is not to be lionized"

This was an extremely fitting end to Adam. The woman he manipulated for years and the woman he disabled working together in sync and they both got to get a death stab into him. Back when this was airing, it was up for debate whether it would be more fitting if Blake or Yang killed him because both of them were so hurt by him and I am glad the answer was both of them. It's why I am confident in he is actually dead. There is no death ending for him that could be more satisfactory than this one.

The floating island reveal is a fun one. There was some light foreshadowing (some airships flew by Weiss' window pretty level with it), but it was a great surprise that made sense it hindsight

And thus, Adam is dead. Yes, genuinely. You don't have to worry like with Cinder, you could consider his death a triple tap. Two stabs and a body slam against a rock on the way down? That was basically Crwbys way of assuring us that he's done. But as you heard in the song Nevermore (based on Evermore, from Beauty and the Beast), Adam is both as tragic as he is dangerous. His origin describes him as "a young boy in the atlas mines who would gaze up at the stars and dream of escaping and finding his place in the world". What happened to him is just an example of what the faunus have been subjected to, but he took his pain out on both humans and other faunus. Also, a lyric in Nevermore is "the goal of a savior is not to be lionized", which is a reference to the song that played in Adams character short, Lionize. Summer Rose, the memories in 2d art style, the obvious implications about WhiteRose and NnD are all just too good. The song that plays when Ruby uses her eyes is called Indomitable, which is a tribute song to Monty. You could tell this season was the crews way of showing that the holdbacks and issues they faced in the last season wouldn't stop them.

He was dead before he even hit the rocks lol Confirmed by the writers time and again, + ain't no way he'd survive getting pierced through (4 exit wounds), falling and shattering his spine and the back of his head and then bleed out submerged in water.

The Blake vs Adam become Blake and Yang vs Adam fight from Episode 10 through it's conclusion in Episode 12 is my absolute favorite fight of the series. There are plenty of fights that are just really fun to watch but don't necessarily have the greatest investment on the emotional or character side of things. And there a very small handful where the opposite is true. But BMBLB vs Adam is one of the handful of fights that has both some really good overall choreograph (some of the best we've seen since Monty died up to this point), as well as some of the major emotional weight and personal stakes for the characters involved. There are other fights that are also strong with these aspects that I would consider contenders for best, but not many. My personal investment in both Blake and Yang as well as their relationship just ends up pushing this one to the very top of my fight list.

11:08 No it was revealed at a RWBY panel by Miles and Kerry that it was a "coworker" that branded Adam after having an argument with him. But to be fair, everyone (including myself) originally thought it was SDC personnel that did the deed.

Hehe, Elijah and Mosco showing they're true RWBY fans, hype and scheming included~ Oscar has really been coming to his own, coming up with strategies like that, making up for the fact that he's not the best fighter in the group. Haha, Maria is great, glad she's in the show. Yeah, good attempt Ruby, but definitely could've handled that sneak attack better. Crescent Rose isn't exactly a hard target to spot from a distance. Then again, none of them [minus Blake] really know how to be discreet. Yeah, Cordovin is very difficult to deal with. Though if she's the extreme version of what Atlas has to offer, then anything below that isn't all that comforting to know. And... That's the boldest and most reckless decision Ruby has ever made, even compared to what next episode has in store. If it has been anyone else doing what she did, they would've died in the process. Heck, Ruby herself got zapped on the way out, nearly shattering what was left of her Aura. Had it not been for Weiss and Qrow's help, she probably wouldn't have even landed safely. Still... Badass Ruby tally going up greatly. Heh, Bumblebee is strong with this one. And Morgan is eating it up with vigor. That moment with Yang activating her Semblance, it was a big moment back when this aired. Since she hadn't activated it since Volume 3 on that faithful day, so we never got to see it in the new engine until this very moment. And what a triumphant moment to show it at that. And the death blow, what a moment. Many were wondering at the time who would deliver it if it came down to it, so its great to see it was a joint effort. Well, we can be certain that he's dead, unless Crwby says otherwise. He got stabbed, likely through the heart or the spine given the positions of the blades. He had no Aura, so no healing himself. He hit the side of the cliff on the way down, likely breaking his spine. And sinking into freezing cold water, if drowning doesn't kill him, hypothermia will [especially with exposed stab wounds]. And unlike Cinder's presumed death back in V5, we see the fall happen in full. And now we have the second member of the Kaiju-sized Grimm with memorable names, the Leviathan; also known by the FNDM and CRWBY and "Lenny". And yeah, his inspiration is very easy to tell. Even still, he's distinct enough appearance-wise to make him his own beast. --- Yeah, I don't blame you for not grasping Neo's Semblance, as it is the most complex and powerful within the series, even more so than Ruby's arguably. Long story short, hard-light visual illusions. If you want a comparison that can be easier to wrap your head around, basically Zoroark's Illusion ability with how flawless it is. The only limit it has, outside of it being fragile and draining on her aura, is Neo's own imagination. Of course they pulled the Pyrrha card on us once more, CRWBY's favorite way of hurting our souls. Well, given the size of the mech, it's very unlikely they would have a backup. Not when the mech itself takes up so much space that the rock formation the base is built around serves as its giant storage space. Hard to say if Ruby knows about Blake and Yang, but at least she's glad her sister was able to help Blake where she could. Atlas stubbornness, showcased again with the lack of help. It seems its a common theme for Atlasians to be stubborn about others. Yet another bold and reckless moment for Ruby that should've gotten her killed under any other circumstance. She's always been this way, remember her wanting to 1v1 both a Nevermore and a Deathstalker back at Beacon? But her time at Beacon and beyond has mellowed that aspect of her at the time. But now she's falling back on those old habits, even if she has a steadier head on her shoulder. But its for a different reason; not because she wants to prove herself, but feeling she's the only one who can do it. Yeah, those bad memories creeping up at the worst possible time, plus the relic being on her person; its no wonder Lenny's attention shifted towards Ruby. Had it not been for Jinn being called, Ruby's journey would've ended right then and there. And... Adding that to the badass Ruby tally, back to back. Even though she didn't get to finish the job. Great movie, one of my favorites in recent times. And yeah, seems Ruby managed to get through to Cordovin in the end, glad to see it. That's a great and powerful moment for Qrow. He's always relied on alcohol, whether to relax or de-stress; so for him to actively choose not to indulge is a sign of progress. That and Maria's encouragement definitely helps. Given everything he's been through, he needed that, and coming from his role model no less. Heh, Ruby deflecting the compliment she got on her bold moments, same girl who desired normal knees. Ozpin helping out, even if that small bit. A bit of that old Ozma from back in the day coming out, the hero who selflessly helped others. Old habits die hard, and solid small step to bridge the gap between him and his former students. You got it in one. Atlas is the floating capital of Solitas, and Mantle [the former capital] being the city that got left behind. Figuratively and literally. Ah, Nevermore [the song, not the Grimm]. It's one of my favorites in the whole series. And yeah, it's basically a song that covers the whole Blake and Yang vs Adam fight. And yes, you should listen to other Rwby songs, especially the outro songs. A lot of them go into detail on any given character's mindset that may not get properly explored within the show itself. Indeed she is. And the wicked witch of the west [fittingly her domain is the west-most continent] finally has her army of flying monkeys. Or gorillas🦍, in this case. And it seems she's finally getting her hands dirty for once, she's done waiting. So fun fact: There was supposed to be one more episode for Volume 6, showing the group arriving in the city proper. But due to time constrains, they couldn't do it in time. Instead, it got pushed forward and now it's the first episode of Volume 7. Volume 6 was great, and set things up for things going forward. See you in V7, one of my favorites in the series.

I like that they keep bringing up Pyrrah (mostly when it's something like the statue not when cinder mentioned her) cause it keeps her memory alive. I wouldn't like it if they killed off someone like Pyrrah and just forgot about her and never mentioned her again

As a huge RWBY fan, I would like to humbly request that you go back and listen to the Volume OSTs of the Volumes you have seen. All but a very small handful of them are HEAVILY implied to be the canonical thoughts of characters or themes of a situation/group, and they add a lot to our understanding of specific characters and their emotions. If you do ever end up going back through the music, my only suggestion is to make sure to have a lyric video, as the lyrics are some of the most important parts of the songs. Each of the main girls have a specific theme that we were introduced to in their trailers that tell us a lot about their characters early on and establish a specific word or phrase that symbolizes them. Ruby’s theme is called Red Like Roses, and in the Volume 1 Soundtrack we get both Part 1 and Part 2. From my understanding, Part 1 is how Ruby wants to portray herself and focus on, and Part 2 is the part of herself that she doesn’t want others to see. Next we have Mirror, Mirror, Weiss’ song. It primarily focuses on exploring how she sees herself and the world before going to Beacon. Third, we have From Shadows, which is a bit different. There are two vocalists in that song, with the female voice being Blake’s thoughts and the Male voice being Adam’s thoughts while they were in the White Fang together. There are more details I could add, but the most important thing to keep in mind in that song is that the softer piano represents Blake and her desires while the more aggressive guitar represents Adam’s thoughts. Last, we have my favorite, which is Yang’s song I Burn. While it is a song to convey how confident and strong she is, it also shows that she isn’t unreasonable and crazy. As an extra fun fact, Yang’s songs are some of the only instances of swearing in the show, and she often has some rap in there too.

So in the meagre defense of Atlas not letting them through and not backing Ruby up. Bear in mind A) for not letting them go to Atlas, the borders are closed. Ironwood's orders ate nobody in or out without his explicit approval. Ruby and co claim to know him but Im sure so does everyone with a business delivery or whatever who is losing money. There's no proof these random civilians are any different. The fact they were willing to even let Weiss return alone is seriously stretching the limits of their orders. Cordovin being a racist bitch about it is indefensible though B) for not backing Ruby up there's a few reasons 1) they dont know about her eyes, the silver eyes are a myth that even silver eyed people know little about, to them the claim that one Huntress can do anything against this Leviathan class Grimm is entirely ludicrous. 2) the options arent team up or die, its team up or evacuate civilians while the Grimm is still dealing with the shields So their thought process is that this random hostile huntress who destroyed their anti Leviathan mech already is asking them to stand and fight an unwinnable battle instead of prioritizing evacuations with their extremely limited time. If I were a commanding officer given that information and choice I'd make the same call. Also the fear of more huntresses out to sabotage and kill people in the kingdoms like Cinder is probably somewhere in that thought process. Out there are humans siding with the grimm for some reason and by all appearances Ruby's crew could very well be more. Now idk if that thought crosses the guy's mind while making this call but still. I bring up this defense because thinking about things from the perspective of other characters is about to become an extremely crucial skill for the rest of the show. The show does an excellent job of having characters act based on their limited perspectives and information, even when the resulting decisions make us as the audience who know everything shake our heads and groan. Now you might not agree with their trains of logic, ideologies, and resulting decisions, but the logic and motivations will exist and remain remarkably internally consistent... for better or worse The character writing in this show is A+ tier stuff, Id hate to see it overlooked
