I don't remember Eda ever saying anything about marrying anyone, and if anyone described one of her exes in a Stan-like way it went over my head

So apparently in the GF box set, there's an alternate "in character" commentary track by Alex recorded as Grunkle Stan for S1 Episode, "Land Before Swine" where Stan recalls being married to a woman named, Marilyn for less than a day in Las Vegas. Stan continues explaining that she was only married to him for his casino winnings saying, "I guess her name was fake and hair was fake. But you know, the love was real. She really was the one that got away. Like literally, it was a proper getaway. She was chased by cop cars for a mile out of Vegas.." He also apparently mentions her "pale bingo hall skin" and "one weirdly sharp tooth". Then in Owl House's episode, "Yesterday's Lie" they find a "Banned for Life" sign that has Eda's picture on it with her signature reading, "Marylin xoxo" (spelling does look a little different but it reads the same out loud). So that's why most people consider this canon at this point.

So happy you're (re)watching this series!! I love this series so much, I think I've watched it a million times at this point! It's also just really nice to have something really fun to look forward to right now since my cat of 10yrs just recently passed away. It's been a really rough time given everything going on with pride stuff and then losing my best friend, but seeing your awesome rainbow hair and watching GF has really brighten up my day and helped me feel more excited about the days to come so thank you! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

I’m so sorry to hear about your cat. Losing a pets is one of the hardest things to go through. Wishing you the best during this rough time. And Happy Pride! 🌈
