In case you missed it, I worked on a bunch of under the hood wordpress updates yesterday... and also fixed (hopefully) the reset your password and registration issues.

As part of the update, I almost uploaded the new login screen for the site revamp in the Fall... but decided against it... mainly because I don't want to overpromise what is inside of LIL until it's there... and it's coming...

But I really would like some feedback. So let's look at where we are and where we're going... and tell me if I'm on the right track... any notes... any thoughts...Again... this is just looking at the login screen... nothing super sexy here... but I have received a lot of feedback that you all like to see works in progress... iteration and process... so here we go.

WHERE WE ARE

This is our current login screen.

It's... fine.

My issue has always been that it looks like a wordpress site. It feels dated... old... (and I know I'm comparing against other sites in the genre that are very much products of the 90's), but this would not pull me in if I were a new user.

WHERE WE ARE GOING

This is the new login screen I'm working on. Dark, feminine... with a clear pull to those that want to play dominant and not just submissive... and it does NOT feel like wordpress. It feels like the start of a game...

What you can't see from the screenshot still is... the 'O' of Locked in Lace has the Sissylink vibes emanating from it. Look...

https://youtu.be/v5gCZY5NhOIThe video doesn't do it justice, but the O produces little sissylink concentric circles coming out from it. Took me forever to make it responsive, but I kind of love it.

YOUR FEEDBACK

So take a look. Does it make you want to join? Does it make you want to play? Am I on the right track or is there something that you feel would make it better? Constructive criticism is welcomed here if it's in Bimbo form.

EEEEEK I LOVE IT! No notes on the vibes (eh) or the look, massive improvement, beautiful and dangerous, absolutely adore. My only concern, born out of an abundance of caution, is that maybe I would keep the disclaimer in the original about the site being of course a work of fiction, a safe space etc. Like, on the side/bottom, small font, kinda blending in the dark background etc. But I would put it there

Lissa Daniels

good idea. We wouldn't want people to think I'm actually creating a cadre army of sissies for world domination.

Michelle Bubbles

I know I know, I did say an abundance of caution xD Reminds me of that meme about trans girls never being taken seriously until they make a joke lol

Jewels

OMG Miss Daniels, like, the login screen looks so totally amazing! The colors and the whole vibe are just super ominous and perfect for the site, I’m like so obsessed already! But umm, about the login widget, like I noticed there’s a "register" tab right at the top and then another "create an account" thingy down at the bottom? It feels like kinda redundant, you know? Like maybe you only need one signup spot? And like, I have this idea that the "free to join box" might also totally be a sign up button? It stands out so much and looks all clickable and sooo pretty hehe!

Shannon Scott

Aww. Why not? We could use an Army of Sissies & Dom's to overtake the world as we know it... It could actually make the world a BETTER place.

Shannon Scott

I think that it looks Awesome, and YES! I would be tempted to want to play.

Lissa Daniels

I agree about the redundancy. But... we want people to not be confused. The free to join box is clickable. Should I remove the tab at the top? All the links go to the same register page.

Spatterjay

I agree about the disclaimer text, and I'd be sure to add the "18+" part too.

Shannon Scott

I would probably remove the "Create an Account" at the bottom. You Have the 'clickable' "Free to Join" tab which is needed, IMO. And you have the Needed & required "Log-in & Register" tabs at Top. That should be plenty. - One thing I have Always found annoying with ANY site is the Log-in screen. (Especially for a 1st timer) wanting to join. The initial log-in Is there but they make finding the Register page a QUEST.

Spatterjay

I agree with Julia, if I was seeing this for the first time, I would be a little puzzled by the slightly-different-looking registration options. Personally, I'd rather have a simpler dialog with all registration stuff in the one "free to join" box. Maybe even go as far as making the big pink text in that box "Create an account" instead of "free to join" and then add "free to join" to the list of attributes below (with the same style as "no credit card" etc).

Spatterjay

Oh, wow, Mrs Daniels, this is quite the upgrade. I like the colour coding, with Sissy associated things in one visual style, and Manager related stuff in another. There are some generic things that are pink as well, but I don't think that will be confusing. The overall feel is quite good, the words are sexy and evocative, but the image lit that way, and with the darkness around it, is just a little sinister, which I think is super effective. "Sexy with a hint of darkness" is the vibe I'm getting. One random thought -- I don't explicitly see anything that indicates that players interact with each other. Is it enough to imply that based on the two classes of characters? I was thinking that someone could conceivably think that this is a single-player game where you pick a role and play through an adventure by yourself. Would it make sense to add something like "community based" or "interactive"? Hmmm, I suppose all games are interactive, in a sense.

Jewels

If the free to join box is clickable I think I would only remove the "create an account" at the bottom. The "Register" at the top can be a fallback for the absolute bimbos among us that don't realize "free to join" is a button🤭

Marie

As a Domme, I love the vibe! I do wonder if, perhaps, it’s a little *too* Dominant-focused? But perhaps that’s for the best, as attracting more Dominants is very important 🤔

Lissa Daniels

Curious what the Sissies think. My hunch is... they will want to tiptoe into the dark if they think there are dommes there. :D

Jinny

World Domination by Sissies? I LOVE that!! Oh wait...

Jinny

It's a no-brainer - this is an absolutely wonderful sign-up page (I kept typing slutty sissy there and forgot how to spell sign-up)! Agree with Julia - keep it simple. It does lean more to the Dom than the sissy. One could argue the text sizes should be the same even with different colors, but I love it as is! "Submit" now! (Enter kind of has a new meaning for me now, btw). :-P

Lissa Daniels

Are you saying Sissies should be of the same size importance as dommes? *chuckles*

Veronica

Wow! That looks great! I love the contrast of the two player types. Anything I would change about it has already been addressed here by others.

dahlia cacophany

It's beautiful. My only concern is that it looks kind of premium - even though it says free to join, it looks like something expensive, and perhaps less community-oriented. But maybe that's all in my (empty) head?

Lissa Daniels

I do actually worry about this. I don't want it to look like a pay-to-view porn site... but I also hate downgrading it out of fear. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Jinny

I like the look and I think it's consistent with the overall theme / appearance. If you're concerned about people thinking there is some paywalls or advertising or some other trick after joining, maybe brighten / highlight or slightly enlarge (or both) the font on the "no credit card / fees / ever" words...?

Spatterjay

Huh, we already have Dominants on the site, and we all seem to OOC-get-along (from what I can see), but this makes it clear right from the start. I am trying to think of any downsides to be mitigated... we might want to emphasize the anonymous nature of the site for those who want to remain Secret Sissies. This is implied by the lack of required payment, but 'anonymous' could be added to that little feature list, to make prospective players feel more at ease.

Spatterjay

I like the idea of making those words more prominent, as it's a great feature of the site - no up front barrier to entry, and no pay-to-win micro-transactions once you are engaged. There is of course the patreon, but I don't think it needs to be mentioned on the intro page. It follows naturally for those who like what LiL offers, and want a little more interaction.

dahlia cacophany

I think even just trying to highlight the "no fees ever" thing might be counterintuitive, it might make people think "Okay, what's the catch?" because they actually won't be able to believe that something in the year 2026 can be as unambiguously wonderful and community-oriented as LiL is. It's giving "too good to be true," and I think it needs to be more "It actually is this good!" I think maybe giving people a taste of what we're actually about could be good - it could be a spotlight of some popular topics, user shoutouts, some user avatars, some highlights from outfit inspections, visible online member counts, featured members, a "hall of fame..." ooh, some "staff testimonials." Some notes from Dr. Lyons or Ms. Sharppe or yourself - things that really indicate that the site is alive. It can all be curated and static but it probably doesn't hurt to give off some "you are the porn" vibes. I think there's a fine line to walk where it's not too polished that it looks like a showroom but not too raucous that it looks like the inmates run the asylum. I think you nailed that balance on the brochure PDFs that are on the site today, that advertise it the way a college or academy might be advertised, just with some extra humiliation attached. In-game screenshots to whet the appetite?

Jane Getts

I agree with that a dumb sissy may not realize that this place is supposed to be asynchronous multiplayer role play space based on the updated front page mockup.

Jane Getts

I recognize this is an aesthetic thing, but why the choice of a green-eyed redhead for the figure's image in the background? Idea that a redhead can go both ways (dominant or submissive)?

Lissa Daniels

You got a problem with redheads with green eyes? *smirks*
