Today's Management Quiz Question:

A Sissy has just finished a task and you can tell she clearly expects a small reward or praise. How do you respond?

A. I would give her the praise, but twist it into something that leaves her feeling exposed and used rather than simply approved of.

B. No reaction is the purest response. Completing her tasks is simply what she is for. Expecting recognition only proves she still thinks like a person instead of property.Tell us which one, and why...be honest...

Oh I think A would generally be more effective... Backhanded praise to make m- her, feel even more like a feminine slutty object to be used? Sounds perfect!

I think B is the proper textbook answer. The right response would make A something special and memorable (in both good or bad ways). It can be quite effective in furthering the Sissy's journey to have each compliment paired with something that chips away at her former identity. At some point that pairing might become unnecessary, at which point praising the new persona might be all that is needed. The other may be kept as defence against backsliding, or just for amusement. The latter implies a different, more complete, and difficult journey for our poor subject...

answer: Is B - "Expecting recognition only proves she still thinks 'like a person', instead of property.", "Why should I praise you for something You are expected to do anyway?" "You should be thanking me for Not punishing you If you had failed,..." with a touch of A. (... "twist it into something that leaves the Sissy feeling exposed and used.") - the Sissy will "think" twice before 'expecting' praise the next time,... maybe? (some Ppl are slow learners, but they do learn, ... eventually.) *then, privately sneak her a Lillipop.*

B. A sissy's reward comes purely from serving others.

Both are equally bad. Sence i have to choose, ill say b. It would probably generate less hate in the girl.

prissy

I would say in most cases B, but if there is a chance in the circumstances A could be more productive, but it depend upon the circumstances, and they are not known.

prissy

Always after another Lillypop eh Shannon?

Gadget

A. I don't want her to get used to expecting rewards just for doing what she should do; the sooner I break her of the idea of "reward for doing what should be done", the better for both of us.

??? don't understand what Ur saying... (I am always after another Lillipop. As they are so Yummy & mind-numbing!) But, in This case, I was handing one out to a Sissy (IF I read your comment correctly)

A. B is clean. Elegant, even. Completing the task is simply what she’s for, and the expectation of praise is residual personhood that needs starving out. I understand the argument. But it’s also a closed door. No reaction gives me nothing new to look at. I’d rather give her the praise and tilt it. Something accurate enough that she can’t dismiss it, and angled enough that the relief she was reaching for turns into something sharper. Let her feel seen and used in the same breath. Then watch what she does with the mismatch. The expectation itself is information. I don’t like wasting information.
