Feature Update (Patreon)

I just updated the front page of the site.  We are getting close to alpha testing (hint:  that is for all of you lovely patrons to login and poke at things before I open it up for beta to a larger group).  

I'm going as fast as I can, but I really want the infrastructure to be in place.  It is so much easier to bug-test, fix and clean features before we start having lots of users in the mix... 

But there are some really cool things coming... I listed a few on the front page... but I thought all of you might like some more details...

So one of the biggest issues we have always had with LIL is getting new players up and running.  A shortage of dominant players, combined with a less than great onboarding process, has led to a lot of players drifting away or having players 'skip over' that section with a wistful sigh.

So I am building and implementing two big solutions to this.

 THE INTRODUCTION

Before players can dive into the 'Melandren Roleplay' game, they will go through a little 'tutorial'.  This is both a 'get to know the RP world' and also an interactive form that fills out key profile pieces that we will need.

What is exciting, is that this is very much an interactive game.  The first choice will be:  do you want to play as a dominant player or a submissive player.  This is presented with a HUGE caveat.  Dominant Players can always be turned into Submissive Characters if mistakes are made, but once you are marked as Submissive, it is permanent.   So theoretically players could start as dominant and then find themselves still being captured.   This will hopefully help us ensure that we not only bring in more dominant players, but that they also work to maintain the goals and 'tone' of LIL.

In the previous site, I started doing 'playable forms'... things like affirmations, sponsor letters and inspections.   In the new LIL, these are turned up to 11 and are now much easier to create, use and modify.  

So for instance... 

In our new 'introduction' we have separate pathways for dominant and submissive players.  Our lovely sissies will start with an updated and modified version of the first chapter of The Office Pool, before being sent for their first day in the Lily Academy for some basic Sissy training.

Our Dominants will go right into Managerial Orientation and be guided through some basic ways to treat and train the sissies before being given a 'personality' quiz that ensures they are truly prepared to be a dominant player.

These introductions will probably only be twenty to thirty minutes worth of 'gameplay' but will be a way to mainline new players in and prepare them for being ready to engage with the community.  And it will take the onus off of players to have to help new players not ready to quite jump in, and instead focus on those who are here to play.

THE DOMINANT PATHWAY

So the other component I am building infrastructure for is not just an introductory section for dominant players, but also a full goal/reward aspect.

So where as the Submissives will be fighting over 'good girl stickers' as awards (more on those soon), the dominants will have their own currency and achievements to strive towards.  One new addition that I am putting the final touches on tonight, is the Inspection Report.  

So after the helpless Sissies post their daily inspection, a dominant player can then fill out a form that 'inspects' them.  This will then be published for everyone to see and comment on and will earn the dominant points and prizes.

There is also a new form for dominants to 'request' services.  They will earn points for making these requests, and our poor helpless pets will have to fulfill every depraved and horrible concept created in order to earn their precious lollipops.

It is going to be very squirmy and fun...

THE FORMS

So on the previous iteration, I had started doing forms for activities like affirmations, inspections, sponsor letters, etc...  the good news about our new infrastructure is that these forms have been cranked up to 11.  They can be conditional, can tell stories, and are much easier to create and implement... so we will have a few as we open for alpha, but I expect us to have a lot more interactivity via these activities than we had previously.  

Sissy Diaries have already been created (and ready to be reviewed by the dominant players).  So fun.

So... a lot of fun stuff coming... and all of you are going to be on the front lines helping me to playtest, clean and refine these things over the next few weeks.  I am very excited to open it up and get all of you back in my clutches where you belong!!!
