A Corpse With No Name (Patreon)

This one was a lot of work! Painting in this way is definitely not my go-to style, but its nice to branch out occasionally and for Kain specifically, i wanted this style of painting to inform her redesign. Namely, i wanted to really lean in on the idea that Kain is just this walking, inky black silhouette with a few key details catching the light. I want her to look harsh and dangerous even to touch (but in a sexy way). 

As a fan of Marty Robbin's "Gunfighter Ballads" i couldnt help but resist emulating the look of that album cover here, with a Kain flavored twist of course. I also included a version of her without that background since i know that may be hard on some folks eyes and the more neutral gray would be easier to zoom in and look at details on heh.
