If you don’t mind my asking, when is Nativity? I’m not Christian. I was under the impression from the song as well as from Shakespeare’s 12th Night that Christmas is 12 days long. But Christian coworkers had no clue what I was talking about… Thanks

What the West calls 'Christmas' is, for Orthodox Chrustians, the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord. Nativity means 'birth' , and originates in Latin. Compare: Latin – Felicem Natalem Christi! Italian – Buon Natale! Portuguese – Feliz Natal! Less obvious, but still cognate: Spanish – ¡Feliz Navidad! French – Joyeux Noël!
