My eye is healing nicely, and vision is slowly returning. My ophthalmologist is happy with the progress. I can wear my glasses again! Still have restrictions on exertion (and have to continue to sleep sitting up).

Story posting update to follow after I see how things go today.

Been there and done that. I had a detatched retnea several years ago. I had to sleep sitting up in a straight back chair for 3 weeks. I could not tie my own shoes, my wjfe had to do it. Could not bend over due to a gel they put in my eye. I could not bend over brcause if the gel broke, I could go blind. It was the longest three weeks ever. Good luck with everything and I look forward to, when you are able, being able the continue reading you stories.

Sodium Hexaflouride for me. I do have the bending restriction and thank the heavens for mocasins (i.e. slip-pon shoes).

Keep up with that healing. Glad it's going well. I was lucky that my detachments were in spots where I slept upright, with a slight lean to the left (my natural politics!). Our couch has recliners built in, so I could sleep in it with just a slight lean back. As I said, lucky. Imagine how much tougher it is for detachments when you have to lie face-down for 3 weeks!
