With this render, I wanted to try something I'd had in mind for a long time, but I hadn't done it because of how reflections work. I needed to find a lighting method that wouldn't show through the mirror. For example, the times I tried, the reflection showed white squares, which is what I use for lighting. It's also a bit out of my comfort zone, since my style is based on having the character's most prominent feature close to the camera—that means, close-up shots of big wedding cakes—and here it would be in the background. ( ´ ω ` )
