The reason I’m writing this post is that my Patreon profile page was recently updated on a site that hosts leaks, specifically, the feed section. The problem is that the links for the polls are posted without any restrictions; this means anyone, even someone who isn’t a subscriber, can access them and cast a vote. They might do this just to cause trouble, or perhaps because they want a specific character to win in the hope that renders of that character will be leaked, I’m not entirely sure. Why am I bringing this up? Well...

A few days ago, Yor was leading the poll with 18%, while Yoruichi had 6%, Samus had 8%, and Miruko had 3% (she wasn’t even close to the top 6; characters like Magik and Black Cat were ahead of her, for instance). When I checked the poll again, I found that Yoruichi had jumped from third place to first with 34% of the vote, while Miruko had moved into second place with 12%, and Yor’s share had only increased to 19%.

To put it in simpler terms: one day, the two hottest dark-skinned women in anime history suddenly saw a surge in their vote counts.

Yoruichi went from 10 votes to 77

Miruko went from 6 to 26.

Usually, in these polls, even back when I only ran them on Patreon rather than Google, not everyone participates; that’s normal. The average total is usually around 140 votes. This time, however, there are 220, which is certainly possible, given the number of subscribers here (thank you all so much for that!) but you have to admit that jumping nearly 100 votes above the average is unusual. Curiously, Yoruichi and Miruko account for 87 of those votes alone. So, to prevent any sort of "coup d'état," ensure everything is in order, and confirm that this was just an incredible coincidence, I’ve decided to hold this follow-up poll to determine the true winner. It would be a real shame if Yoruichi ended up winning due to some kind of "fraud." If she truly is the rightful winner with those 70 votes, that will be reflected here as well... or at least, that’s what logic would dictate. (ᵕ—ᴗ—)

I was actually going to say something about how Pawchive updated your page on there as a heads up, but I guess things beat me to it. I much brings me to thinking: Does Mega or the Dropbox you use allow polls or nah? Figured if they do it would prevent something like this from happening again

I think you're onto something Nix. I think you're most likely right on the mark regarding the suspicious jump in votes. That would make complete sense if the links to the Google polls had unrestricted access and the links get archived or leaked elsewhere on another site allowing anyone and their entire family to cast votes in on those polls from the other sites that host leaked, archived premium content in hopes that the character that they picked, will see leaked content from. That is honestly something else LOL! Talk about a new level of desperation and craftiness hahahahaha! I've never seen or heard votes from your Patreon community skyrocket sharply in large like that. Usually it's a gradual to moderate increase over the course of time. At least that's from what I've witnessed how the votes behaved from the Patreon polls. That definitely seems quite suspicious.
