trying to get all the BONEMEN lore in a somewhat organized order. I've realized that many who want to understand the world building its a jumbled mess of post.

Intriguing. I remember ages ago, you mentioned that WYRMs and demons descend from the same act of primordial self-pleasure. Is that still true?

Wintermute

Along the shore the cloud waves break, The twin suns sink behind the lake, The shadows lengthen In Carcosa. Strange is the night where black stars rise, And strange moons circle through the skies, But stranger still is Lost Carcosa. Songs that the Hyades shall sing, Where flap the tatters of the King, Must die unheard in Dim Carcosa. Song of my soul, my voice is dead, Die thou, unsung, as tears unshed Shall dry and die in Lost Carcosa.

Jarrod

Does the angel coward culling refer to the genocide of the Grigorians? And this inventor of the Id and Ego... Yaldabaoth perhaps? And with lost Carcosa being where the harlequins performed, I come to wonder, was the Yellow King a harlequin of sorts? One of their plays? Or perhaps a story of the city made by apes long after such times. This one has so many questions! Love your work

Deimos

Was Camazotz a primordial apex or one of the death gods that emerged from the casualties of the Schism?

G.C.

YES, MORE LORE

SpaghettiBastard

absolutely a primordial apex superbeast, later tamed by Xibalbans

SpaghettiBastard

The ones who fell to fleshlust came later. Right after SCHISM and the expulsion of the rebellious; the victorious First Weapons - still covered in their brother’s blood - experienced such intense emotional pain and made note to punish all those who took no side. To them those who refused to fight were in a way even worse than the defectors. And when we speak of clowns and carcosa we speak of the plays they preformed that became small realities of home and horror that existed to entertain angel intelligences who could weave timelines. Their Harlequin spectacle had to be intense to keep angel attention.

SpaghettiBastard

the first disagreement in reality when the original intelligence abandoned it.

JustJDoggMan

Interesting but disagreeing on what exactly?

Glarn Boudin

....So the Lovecraftian pantheon and the horrors of other public-domain stories are, in essence, pocket realities created to entertain angels almost like Cabin in the Woods? Because that's an *extremely* interesting idea.
