Even though they were in wyrm, I have to shoutout Bakunawa and Jawzahr. Maybe Typhon's call spurs Gongong into action to awaken the Mega-Dragons... perhaps this could also include Nidhoggr? Is Stargod Anu still alive by the time Bonemen takes place, or has Earth long been liberated since? Basilisk would also be interesting to see given him being oldbreed and meddling in dragon politics for quite some time, as would be Orochi. Zipacna could fit as well if not already bested by the Hero Twins. Herensuge and Ammit would also be interesting to see. Ladon would be fitting, though I would assume Python has long been slain by Apollo by this point in the timeline.

Would love to see more of your takes on Y Ddraig Goch and Y Ddraig Wen. I quite enjoyed the brief piece you did on them in the past.

The Second littlest Guy

Ok, I have a Idea for a opportunist Dragon whose aligning with Typhon Junior; Lady Kulshedra, a beast whom had grown up in violence, started by herself, and across galactic arms she would travel the void, and her body would generate heat that would cause drought and famines across continents, chaotic storms that burn the air, viral plagues that left mortals and lesser spirits rotting and burning. Kulshedra was a criminal nussince for the Dodethakeon and Asier as she visited there territories the most, and only recently had gotten captured by a Dodethakeon Military force: Makhai and mortals led by Cadmus, capturing and imprisoning her into Tartarus. Kulshedra appearance wise is rather serpentine Wyrm, with more grayish scales on her upper body, darker scales on her underside. A side mane of brown flowing across her side. Her more eel like face has a large hinge mouth with multiple tendrils that look like serpent mouths and fangs. Kulshedra would be described as opportunistic and spiteful for a Wyrm, joining Little Typhon’s group to get back at the authorities in the Dimension, while trying to move up in this new hierarchy. In real life the dragons form Albanian mythology, and serves as the draconic enemy of their thunder spirits (from daughters of the sun and moon to winged men of thunder, those types of hero’s )

I will start with dragons of mythology. Glycon: A literal 'snake oil salesman' in bed with the Plague Doctors, supplying them with all manner of bizarre remedies and solvents produced from his venom for a steep price. Some of them don't even have side effects! Some of course, might be experimental serums and poisons that need hominid test subjects. Designwise, could have the paired snakes of the caduceus as part of the design coiling around him like a DNA helix; he coudl also have a humanoid body at the end of his tail, like a mix of a spider tailed viper and, well, a hand puppet. Piasa: A rogue Water Panther with draconic corruption, granted wings and a savage bloodlust. Alternatively, it could be a relict Sphinx. Could draw from oni masks and the Krampus mounts for the face. Stoorwurm: Another cosmic dragon alongside Gong Gong and Bakunawa, with a miles-long tongue that glows with molten heat and boiling saliva with the consistency of magma. Tsuchigumo: Engineered to infiltrate Arachnid forces, like a draconic version of an ant-mimicking spider. Nessie and Morgawr: Two aquatic WYRMs seeking one another out on the Isles, one trapped in a lake created by the Deluge and the other out at sea. They pace the boundaries of their respective prisons, trying to find one another; if dragons can truly feel love, these two do. Both produce thick clouds of concealing mist and an eerie, mournful song like a funeral dirge. Blue Ben: Another British dragon, albeit perhaps better for BONEMEN. A sea wyrm still trailing the chains and broken shackles from his escape from the captivity of an unknown power. Design is based on retro ichthyosaurs - the bony eyes can move independently of each other like a chameleon’s eyes, and even extend and retract like camera lenses to zoom in/out on targets... all the better to release his Gaze attack, which takes the form of straight-up beams of light, either as flashlight-like beams or a concentrated laser. Oilliphéist: Not all of the serpents have fled the Emerald Isle - some just took to the sea, even as St Patrick pursues it with Ahab-like mad determination. Design could be elongated and crocodilian, with a Stomatosuchus/pelican-style throat pouch (maybe also a ‘goiter’ like moray eels) - simply opening its mouth creates a colossal vortex of water. Mo'o: Reclusive island dwellers, combining features of geckos and basilisk lizards. Toe pads allow them to manipulate the composition of water, stirring up waves or parting the waters, creating whirlpools and throwing up barriers, even making solid walls of the stuff. Gowrow and Hodag: Bastard Water Panther offspring, either a species or individuals. Hodag is more mammalian with shaggy fur and squirrel-like agility, while the Gowrow is basically a marriage of monitor lizard and panther with a blade-tipped tail and tusks. Jersey Devil: Strange bastard child created by a coven of New World witches. Utterly devoted to them as a child is to their parents, even as they urge it to darker acts. Basically a dragon made out of mammal; camel neck and head, bat wings, cloven hooves on kangaroo legs, the works. Chupacabra: Either Grays who drank of WYRM blood, or an old experiment of Enki's to blend Fae and dragon genetics, the resulting creature proving unsatisfactory but too fecund to wipe out completely. Spring-Heeled Jack is one of these creatures; 'canid' chupes are in fact goats infected with reptilian features by backwash from failed attacks, like mosquitoes spreading malaria; the Vampire Beast is formed from predators that eat these infected goats in turn. MOKELE-MBEMBE: Swamp Lord in name only; migrated up from the Hollow Earth and established a petty kingdom for himself in the shadow of UMBABA’s former strongholds. His sheer size allows him to bully most of the local surface dragons into submission. Built like a retro sauropod covered in crocodile scales, low-slung and bulky with a short toothy trunk and a long whiplash tail that can level forests. Kasai Rex and other African dino-cryptids are his entourage brought up from the Hollow Earth. Bunyips: A line of Swamp Lords/Bog Tyrants from the far southeast. Mix of embracing native Earth energies and taking exiled bastard bloodlines as breeding stock have led to their appearances being probably the most varied out of all dragons; they're a regular thorn in the side of the Rainbow Serpent(s). NINKI-NANKA: Another dragon that rose up to rule in Africa in UMBABA’s stead, now a rival to MOKELE-MBEMBE. Largely apathetic towards humans, but does have a degree of interest in politics, if only as a hobby; maintains a massive prosperous kingdom like a human would a prized topiary. Mushussu: Highly successful experiment; combines felid, eagle, hyena, snake, and crocodilian into a single cohesive whole. A favorite of ISHTAR, many variants exist, including the Glatissant. Jiao: Enormous feral eastern Wyrms that failed to ascend to their betters' divine heights. They wallow in the swamps, taking on features of the old saurian stock. Imagine a retro Mamenchisaurus with a Chinese dragon flourish, and that's what I'm picturing. DAGON: Relative to ENKI, exiled to the deep upon his relative's rise to power with an impossible quest to tame the seas. Now cultivates vast gardens beneath the waves out of longing for the land. Wanizame: Common sea dragons, combining alligator, shark, and mosasaur into a single cohesive whole. NAMAZU: A fish that devoured so much dragonflesh it has become one itself, an enormous glutton with no aspirations besides gorging. Design would probably combine catfish with pleco, eurypterid, and trilobite. CIPACTLI: Admittedly better suited to BONEMEN as a Xibalban product, but the 'Dragonization' of Tartarus leads me to think it might be useful here. QUQUMATZ: Brother to KUKULCAN; where his brother is the New World's primary scientific mind, QUQUMATZ manages the biosphere and its people. Some suspect he is heavily infected with Empathy, but none dare voice his suspicions within earshot of him. Design would take more from traditional Quetzalcoatl depictions rather than KUKULCAN's beaky birdy look. Snallygasters and Van Meter Visitors: Dragons that covet with the Fae courts. The former I could see having heavy Ridley vibes, while the latter are more along the aesthetics of old-timey scifi with glowing beam-shooting horns.

And now my own designs and ideas: - Something like the bottom-heavy 'eggplant'-shaped dragons of classic fantasy along with Taro, the 1924 silent film take on Fafnir, and oldschool sauropods. A hulking pot-bellied monster whose vast belly stores tremendous quantities of fire. - Relative to the above, but taller and more regal, built along the lines of DunMesshi's Red Dragon. The Brachiosaurus to the above brute's crawling retro Diplodocus. - Enormous bruiser built like a massive reptilian bull combined with the Crystal Palace Megalosaurus; massive bull-like horns overgrow the eyes, while a thin whip-like tail lashes behind it and vents along the back spew fire and smoke. - Bastard avian brute - retro hadrosaur mixed with Deinocheirus, with a head like a shoebill mixed with a goose and a temper to match. Its long throat stores vast quantities of water that it can spray as a pressurized steaming jet. - Rayquaza/eastern dragon that rockets across the skies via organic jets. - 'Root chewer' dragons out of Norse mythology; serpentine and eyeless, with ever-growing incisor-like fangs to the front of the mouth. - Hulking legless wyrm built like a titanic caecilian, pores along the lateral line oozing corrosive toxins while its eyeless head is bisected by a vast maw, Krayt-dragon style - A proper gargoyle swarm along the lines of Dwoll's art - beaky-faced, ribbed wings, humanoid build, grasping eagle talons that can carve through stone. - Monstrous saurian apex built along the lines of the classic LEGO dragon. - Evolved tyrant king, mixing V-rex and Dixon's gourmand. No arms, low-slung skulking body held up by mighty pillar-like legs, a long lashing sauropod-worthy tail counterbalancing an almost wormy torso and an enormous deep blocky skull crammed with crushing teeth. - Six-legged insectoid dragon combining a general Ridley vibe with a mosquito-like proboscis beak that can punch through the skin of gods. - A proper draconic brachiosaur would be incredible to see. Sauropods in general are perfect references for dragons, really. - John Martin's paleoart would be a perfect fit with your style. - Combo of Southeast Asian naga statues and oarfish with a bit of Gyarados; a massive regal crowned serpent of the deep. - My OC Glarran could be fun to adapt; basically a souped-up Crystal Palace Megalosaurus. Ref is here: https://files.catbox.moe/ybo6bu.png - A proper Hydrarchos; a reptilian take on those old vintage Basilosaurus illustrations stretched over that skeleton. - Stalking serpentine brute built for explosive ambush and grappling. Four limbs on an elongated body, with powerful arms a la Konrad Dielitz's illustration of Fafnir and a long coiling tail to top it all off; the sort of serpentine dragon that could constrict elephants.

The 100-headed rival to Junior, who has recently been in league with the Olympians: LADON

RubikTree

Leviathan Spawn: Huge reptilian that came from the sea, so powerful no mortal could possibly slay it? I'm thinking the attempts to kill it left chunks of flesh behind...which then regenerated and evolved into something like Shin Godzilla's 'Angels'. Wing/fin/blade mashups, lots of teeth. Azhi Dahak: Multi-headed demon king, maybe make the additional two heads into weapon emplacements/wings, IE humanoid 'prince' form with massive William Blake-style wings and the additional heads/necks forming the 'arms' of the wings. Nidhogg: You do long and lanky humanoids well (excellently, as a matter of fact). How about something massively hulking, spiked and brutish, inspired by DC's Doomsday? It is meant to survive what the Aesir cannot, after all. I'm eagerly awaiting the results, whichever direction you go. Love this theme!

Deimos

I can see Bakunawa being a dragonic imitation of Camazotz as both are Moon Swallowers. Great big wings and a great big mouth. Another suggestion would be Tugarin, he could have both a full dragon and more humanoid form.

Khalros

Tarasque, a dragon that has the head of a lion, the body of a turtle, and the tail of a snake. Has six legs and breathes poison.

Níðhǫggr An Aesir asset of unknown origin meant to recycle the virulent god-flesh discarded during digitalization in preparation for RAGNAROK. There may once have been whispers of it being used by ODIN to dispose of undesirables, but any sources of such rumors have long since been removed. It assimilates not just the attributes of those which it devours, but also their lingering attachments left behind. Hopes, dreams, regrets: all these echoes are nourishment for the great WYRM. There is but one singular desire overshadowing the rest, anchoring its otherwise fracture psyche. It seeks to devour and assimilate YGGDRASIL due to what it represents for the Aesir: Serenity, Structure, and Supremacy. Only then will it finally attain: Silence.

Additional assets have revealed themselves. Will start with the ones I have a few concepts for. Xiuhcoatl: Fiery flying meteor-serpents of the New World and beyond. Minor fragments of what could have been with the Seraphim project, perhaps? Or they are the assets of Kukulkan and his cohort. Haietlik: Traitor-kin to the Xiuhcoatl; they swore allegiance to the Avians. Or perhaps they simply show their line's true colors, coming closer to the ideal of plumage. Plasma manipulation abilities; they're more living light than biological tissue. Gaasyendietha: Void-dwelling meteor-dragon, bred as a living cruise missile to obliterate Arachnid nests. They circle planets like sharks around a sinking ship, salivating at the chance to move in and feed. Cherufe: Chthonic kin to Gaasyendietha, long ago bound beneath the planet's crust. Imbibing directly from the mantle has allowed him to balloon in power, but left him addicted to surface pleasures - exactly the leash the royals need to keep his hunger in check. Toyotama-hime: Far Eastern sea wyrm with Swamp Lord blood. It was believed that that strain was beyond Empathy infection. She handily disproved that. Tiddalik: One of the more unconventional Swamp Lords of the southern continent. Ophiogenean Dragon: Guardian/reaper of primate assets. Cells were used for a myriad of pre-Deluge experiments; the Ophiogenes have thus far proven promising. Ismenian Dragon: From the same branch of experiments as the Lernaean Hydra. Rather than regeneration, however, it focused upon outright generation, mass-producing battalions of warriors. Its gift was hijacked by ape infiltrators; homunculi are a direct result of copying this art. Tegu-Jagua: New World equivalent to the ZILANT; many-headed juggernaut with nigh-unbridled firepower. Nine Sons of the Dragon: Lesser children of the eastern Lung kingdoms, trapped in lesser forms for various transgressions. They hope that they will be pardoned and allowed to progress if they perform admirably; a hope that's dangled in front of them for continued service without complaint.

Glarn Boudin

And ones that I have no ideas for that could still be usable: Kirimu: Seven horned heads, eagle-like tail, black hide, and sharp teeth. Notably was the blood brother of Nkuba, the Nyanga lightning god, thus making killing him a major offense. The Dragon of the North/The Northern Frog: Enormous frog-dragon from Estonia, able to leap half a mile in a single bound with a whip-like tail and glowing hypnotic eyes that drew victims into its waiting mouth en masse. Could only be destroyed with information from King Solomon himself. Maeonian/Lydian Dragon: a Greek dragon that was slain, but *came back to life* when its mate revived it with magic herbs. Tombstone Thunderbird: A pterodactyl-dragon-thing with a hundred-plus foot wingspan. There's a number of weird stories about it from Wild West newspapers that I can send you in DMs; it had a wholeass character arc like an old-timey kaiju. Velue/Peluda: Shaggy/quilled French water dragon that was covered in shaggy quills/hair, with a snake-like neck and tail. It survived Noah's flood and seemed completely invulnerable, but would die instantly if its tail was severed. Sisiutl: Pacific Northwest water spirit, usually depicted as a double headed serpent (sometimes with a third human face in the middle) that acts as a mediator between the physical and spirit worlds. Often associated with shamans for their similar role. Cetus: Sea monster sent by Poseidon to destroy Andromeda for her hubris. Notably, a lot of depictions apparently give it a red crest or mane, not unlike oarfish. Perhaps a design based upon the 'Hydrarchos' hoax with a splash of medieval map sea monster - a unification of Cetus the dragon with cetaceans, who draw their name from the monster in the first place. Denwen: An Egyptian dragon from Egypt's Old Kingdom, deemed a threat to *the entire Egyptian pantheon*. How we don't know, but his name apparently means 'the fiery one,' so there's that at least. Yeitso: First, biggest, and baddest of the Anaye, a giant with scales of flint and stripes on his face. His spilled blood cooled into lava flows, and he's heavily associated with fossils and with certain lizards. Cocollona: A translucent crocodile with beautiful butterfly wings. Said to have been once a nun that transformed after years of being locked in a deep subterranean dungeon by her peers. Endriago: Half-dragon, half-toad, half crocodile or snake. Born from an incestuous father-daughter giant couple with the intention of creating “the strongest, bravest thing you can find in the world”. It worked too well, killing its parents and reducing its home to a barren wasteland. Its spirit is said to have left its mouth and fly off screaming thunderously once it was finally slain. Speaking of, a lot of 'dinosaurs' from old Wild West newspaper reports are... bizarre. Dozens of legs, fangs, serpentine bodies, sometimes tusks and trunks. I call them 'Whatsits' - again, I can link you some of my notes on the topic. Beast of Chaves: Best way I can describe this is "What if the Beast of Gevaudan was a monstrous reptilian killing machine with the same abilities as Singular Point Anguirus?" It's a cryptid from Portugal that isn't talked about outside of the country; I'm just going to copy-paste the description I got from a friend in DMs.

Another possible thought: Drawing from John Martin's paleoart for Leviathan spawn.

RubikTree

Another thought: I recently started re-reading Nemesis The Warlock (2000ad/Pat Mills). Nemesis has a truly unique head/neck/mouth structure, and is canonically a fire-breather...If you want originality, it doesn't come much more original than an alien-demon-dragon-anarchist written by an iconoclast and drawn by Kevin O'Neill, the only artist to have his entire style banned by the CCA.

Glarn Boudin

Additional Swamp Lords have been located. Chalawan: Thai origin. Crocodile with diamond teeth who could take human shape and kidnapped women Bowser-style. Seri Pahang: Crocodile-naga from Malay folklore. Enormous white crocodile that inhabited a lake, and emerged to attack a black sea demon named Seri Kemboja. Buwaya: Filipino. Crocodiles there are highly venerated, up to and including the equivalent of the Grim Reaper being a gigantic crocodile with a coffin on its back. Lafaek Diak: Timor creation story where the island was formed from the carcass of an old, benevolent crocodile who swore never to harm humans. Empathy-infected dissenter, perhaps? White crocodiles in general are extremely venerated in Southeast Asia - they're protectors, supernatural killers, shapeshifters, everything.

casualbaloth

This One requests Leviathan, if one such as it were to be considered as such. The Great Serpent seems apt for the role, upon initial observation.

Wintermute

Late to the party but my proposals are the clans of COLCHIS and LADON. Mighty dragon spawn there. Above all... HERENSUGE. The Basque WYRM even Angels fear to fight.

P3rfect!Curi

Late to the party but I could suggest some concepts: 1 - "The Seven Headed Beast": Inspired on the Brazilian idea of "Bicho de 7 Cabeças", which is both an expression as well as an imagery from here. Could also maybe use the Teyu Yagua from Guarani Indigenous culture who ironically also have 7 heads. Big difference is that Teyu Yagua has dog heads meanwhile the "Seven Headed Beast" is way more chimeric and probably a reference to the 7 headed dragon from the Christian Mythology and Imagery as well as the Hydra from Greek Mythology. Boitatá or M'boitatá: A giant snake with a body either composed of or bathed in fire as well as fiery and powerful eyes, it eats the eyes of those that disrespect and damage the enviroment. It is inspired on South American Indigenous Oral History as well as Brazilian Folklore too. Boiúna (or Big Snake): It is a gian snake from South American Indigenous Oral History as well as Brazilian Folklore again, this one would be a really big snake that would love in the bodies of water of the region, it is often described with dark hide but glowing eyes, it can be either benevolent or malevolent or neither, varies a lot from version to version, also and this will lead to the next 2 options which would be it's children. Norato: Norato is the benevolent kid of Boiúna with a mortal woman, he wanted nothing more than to help people and she his snake form for that of a human, he fought a lot his evil sister who liked to pick on others. Caninana: The "malevolent" kid of Boiúna, Caninana was the opposite of her brother, for she seemed to enjoy causing misfortune on others and that caused them to fight A LOT, sometimes with mortal wounds involved for both parties. Now some mentions of over my head that could be interesting for the group of Wyrms you backing: Python (the one that fought with Apollo for the Delphi Oracle), Zahhak from Iranian Mythology and its variations, then there is the 11 Spawn of Tiamat of which at least 4 or 5 could work as very good dragons, while others could be other monsters. Theres also the Romanian Balaur which would work great and is also a multi-headed dragon at times, for last, a sort of mixed Clone of Set and Typhon since they used to syncretized together at times. A sneak suggestion if you allow me is another one from Brazilian Folklore and Oral Expression which is simply named "Besta Fera", could be translated as "Feral-Beast" or "Wild Beast", it is used in orality to express when someone is angry beyond reason and in the folklore it talks about a metamorphic monster often associated with the Devil that runs wild through the night scaring people and collecting the souls of the damned. Overall that is all I can offer, hopefully you are able to take the best out of it, good job with your work and sorry for the big text wall lol.
