This is phenomenal? Both comics have excellent action and do a good job of telling compelling narratives with their characters. I don’t envy the judges.

Gotta say, and this isn’t bias I swear, I prefer your comic. Mostly because it’s a lot more going on, AND you also respected the characters’ personalities and made their stories far more interesting. But credit where credit is due, your opponent’s action was just as phenomenal! AN EXCELLENT FIRST BOUT!

In retrospect I should have cut the intro down and focused on the action of the duel. If HESSIAN wins I will focus on fight scenes and strong action more. Probably less color. It eats so much time.

I bet the coloring for Fungal took forever. As for the intro, I feel like it does a great job of giving the fight a good sense of scale as well as introducing elements of HESSIAN's character that come up during his fight with fungal.

realtalk: Dialogue is the hardest thing to do with every comic I've done. There are definitely moments where I think: "does any of this babbling sound good in anyone else?"

He has absolutely participated in warcrimes but also has shown regret when great libraries are burt. He would find slaughtering civilians dishonorable but has done it when ordered to, he is still an Infernal after all.
