Turn one folder of scene prompts into a long, coherent AI video with MiniMax H3 - locally, 0-shot and without babysitting every clip. This ComfyUI walkthrough shows how to match references, queue scenes, generate clips and automatically merge everything into one movie.

The opening is the raw workflow result. Then we rebuild it from installation to playback: models, presets, VRAM modes, prompt creation, folder batching, reference syntax, draft settings, troubleshooting, selective regeneration and consistency. It can scale to very long projects, including the 2-hour movie shown here.

MiniMax H3 supports 30-second segments; 15 seconds is the sweet spot. This demo uses 10-second scenes for easy review and regeneration.

For 16:9, use 1344x768. Draft around 0.4 MP, review the sequence, improve prompts, then render final quality.

Load up to 99 references; each prompt uses only matched IDs. Per generation: up to 3 audio, 3 video and 9 image references. Extra audio/video refs are discarded.

Use INT8 for speed and near-BF16 quality; INT4 is for lower VRAM. It runs on 6 GB GPUs, but more slowly. Low-VRAM mode saves about 15%, reaching 40%+ in some cases.

Audio references are less reliable than image references. If voice quality drops, try no audio reference. Map image IDs clearly for consistency.

Covers local Windows, Massed Compute, RunPod and SimplePod. Use a fresh install with Python 3.12 where recommended. Read requirements and changelogs; nodes and workflows update often.

If one scene fails, regenerate only that section. Join the Discord above for setup help.

Hi, i follow installation step, but comfyui show this: Unknow package: SECoursesBatchContinuationFrame SECoursesBatchDuration SECoursesBatchVideoSaveMerge SECoursesMiniMaxH3Auto SECoursesMiniMaxH3ReferenceMode SECoursesReferenceGallery SECoursesResolutionSync Found it: Missing foley extension

Your installation (i fresh installed comfyui for this) and the workflow works really great. As suggested I first generated a 3-part-video in 0.4 resolution and as I was very happy with the result, I created a 1.2 megapixel video - borth worked great and came out successfully! Now I wonder, where we could add LoRas to this workflows? In what step can we ingest them? Civitai and other sources already have a lot of Minimax H3 LoRas.

man4tech

Hi, I'm using the Ref2AV workflow with two images (character / environment) and audio (voice ref). When I use @x... tokens, I can't get Minimax to consistently generate the environment from @image2. This is unlike when I use , which does maintain consistency. What could I be doing wrong? Thenks

man4tech

Hi, thanks for your reply. I apologize for not explaining myself clearly: When I type, for example, “in @image2” into the prompt, the model doesn't generate results consistently, but if I use “in ,” it does.

man4tech

Yeah its strange, im working with by now. Do you guys plan to include latent context for both video/audio, to reduce drift, better continuity between shots, like H3 Extender | Multishot does for example?

man4tech

Sure, I've been playing with these packs: https://github.com/jlucasmcrell/ComfyUI-H3-Multishot, https://github.com/tritant/ComfyUI_MiniMax_H3_Extender, this last one, allows you to generate clip by clip, with validation control, but I have problems when I am going to generate from clip2 onwards. The first one does work well for me, and the result is amazing, since you don't notice the change from one clip to another, it doesn't even know in the color, however, this does not allow generation controlled clip by clip, but full batch

SECourses: FLUX, Tutorials, Guides, Resources, Training, Scripts

i compared both repos. they have extra using One-frame relay or 22 raw latent frames and 5/22/39/56 raw latent frames instead of using last frame. i can add those. if anything else you need let me know other than that your problem ## Why Extender commonly fails at Clip 2 Clip 1 does not need motion context. Clip 2 is the first point where the Extender activates its continuation machinery, so compatibility, patch conflicts and VRAM problems all appear there. Three documented cases match the report: - Issue #1 (https://github.com/tritant/ComfyUI_MiniMax_H3_Extender/issues/1): ComfyUI removed the old PackedLayout(..., frame_count=...) API. Clip 1 worked, Clip 2 failed. This was fixed in the current Extender. - Issue #12 (https://github.com/tritant/ComfyUI_MiniMax_H3_Extender/issues/12): H3One/ALL-in-One and H3 Continuum already owned MiniMaxH3.extra_conds; Extender refused to stack another incompatible patch. Removing the competing packs fixed it. - Issue #3 (https://github.com/tritant/ComfyUI_MiniMax_H3_Extender/issues/3): the Validated checkbox reset and Clip 1 regenerated. It involved frontend/custom-DOM behavior and was closed without a reproduced code fix. The same report also showed that reducing context from 22 to 5 allowed Clip 2 to run.

man4tech

Hi, yeah, thanks. In my case, I was already using the latest version, and I don't have any other nodes running at the same time for that very reason. The bug in my case is related to issue #18: when there is an `audio_ref`, the error `RuntimeError: shape mismatch: value tensor of shape [810, 32] cannot be broadcast to indexing result of shape [884, 32]` occurs starting with clip 2 and onwards.

man4tech

Sure, in the tests I've run, the pack works fine and without errors, but ONLY when there is no associated `audio_ref`; the inference works fine with any clip. The bug or error occurs when there is an associated `audio_ref` (in my case, used for the character's voice): Test 1: audio_ref -> link to -> ref_audio_1 [MiniMax H3 Extender] Clip 1 -> Works Clip 2 -> Failed Test 2: audio_ref is not linked to [MiniMax H3 Extender] Clip 1 -> Works Clip 2 -> Works ... Works Some debug info: [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] WITH AUDIO REF ================================================================================ [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] audio_x.shape = (1, 32, 2, 405) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] audio_t = 405 [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] audio_rows.shape = (810, 32) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] audio_update.shape = (1694,) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] ~audio_update rows = 884 [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] cond_audio_rows.shape = (810, 32) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] all_audio_rows.shape = (1694, 32) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] refs count = 3 [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] cond_audio_latents count = 1 [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] REF[0] kind='image' ref_audio_t=None motion_context_audio_end_frame=None [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] REF[1] kind='image' ref_audio_t=None motion_context_audio_end_frame=None [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] REF[2] kind='audio' ref_audio_t=405 motion_context_audio_end_frame=None [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] REF[2] audio_latent.shape=(1, 32, 2, 405) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] COND_AUDIO[0] shape=(1, 32, 2, 405) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] NO AUDIO REF ================================================================================ [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] audio_x.shape = (1, 32, 2, 405) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] audio_t = 405 [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] audio_rows.shape = (810, 32) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] audio_update.shape = (884,) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] ~audio_update rows = 74 [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] cond_audio_rows.shape = (74, 32) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] all_audio_rows.shape = (884, 32) [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] refs count = 2 [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] cond_audio_latents count = 1 [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] REF[0] kind='image' ref_audio_t=None motion_context_audio_end_frame=None [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] REF[1] kind='image' ref_audio_t=None motion_context_audio_end_frame=None [H3 AUDIO DEBUG] COND_AUDIO[0] shape=(1, 32, 2, 37)

man4tech

Great, so i only need to upgrade to COmfyUI_v130 to get latent context

man4tech

Awesome, will upgrade then thanks

man4tech

Hi, I’ve been playing around with the pack, and it seems to me that there are some glitches with the prompt boxes in the latest update, V132. Video demo -> https://streamable.com/ysyemz

man4tech

Sure, will test the updae's fix, just I use Massed.. script on Ubuntu

man4tech

I think its fixed now, thanks

man4tech

Hi, in a multi-prompt scenario, how we specify a duration per prompt/clip within the workflow?

SECourses: FLUX, Tutorials, Guides, Resources, Training, Scripts

hi in zip file you will see MiniMax_H3_Enchance_Prompt_Feed_For_LLMs.txt . upload your prompt and that and tell LLM to generate timings as you want. it will generate in most accurate way. you can use any llm. if you dont have any subscription you can use gemini 3.8 flash on google ai studio with any gmail account amazingly

man4tech

Got it, will test this. Would work this prompts with gemma4?

man4tech

In a multi-prompt scenario how is the behaviour of audio source in 'INIT AUDIO (OPTIONAL) node, if a put a longer audio Ex: A 3:25 sountrack ? the workflow automatically split accross prompts gens or its only for audios <=15s?

SECourses: FLUX, Tutorials, Guides, Resources, Training, Scripts

nope it takes only first duration. so you need to split and give each one as a different reference. you can give more and refer them in each prompt. like 10 audio references put into prompt and refer them on each prompt with their id it will accurately use them
