"My favorite games always update on the same day. Do you think it's deliberate?"

I don't doubt it. It can be hard to tell how two games REALLY stack up against each other when there's so many variables. One's probably existed longer. One probably has a bigger playerbase. The games are probably more popular in different time zones. They both log all the info of who which players play how much and at what times. They could be sharing their logs with each other, only factoring in the people who play both games, and seeing which games they all decide to play first after the update. Do the updates at the same time of day. Then adjust the numbers to the same ratio their total playerbases are to each other. That would take out the rest of the variables from the equation. It'd give them solid evidence of which game the mutual players prefer. No wait, it wouldn't factor out the time zone difference, but I can't think of anything that could be done about that.
