A New part this morning; and a change in perspective. Bear with me as this is my first story, so I'm still learning fiction writing.

Looking up from the ground, it wasn’t difficult to figure out what the fuss was about.  People went from milling about to being in an intense panic, running away from the massive shadow that appeared overhead. A denizen looked up at the sky and saw something completely breathtaking…and impossible. An absolutely gigantic high heel seemed frozen in midair, unmoving, but too late for them…it wasn’t motionless at all, the gigantic high heel, which dwarfed the street below it made no distinction on what would end up under it. The impossible footwear felt like it came down in slow motion, but in reality, came down with terrifying speed and accuracy.

BOOM.

When the smoke cleared, a gigantic black patent high heel had replaced the scene. The very expensive high heel was instantly recognizable to many of the survivors, but they couldn’t comprehend its size and mass. It was a Christian Louboutin So Kate pump, with a towering 4.7” heel. The survivors turned their eyes skyward, but it wasn’t enough. To really comprehend how massive this pump was, you would need to be miles away. What couldn’t be mistaken is this heel, and the massive one in the distance (a mere dozen or so blocks away) were being worn by an absolutely massive woman…a colossus of a business woman. The haze of the atmosphere, the smoke, the fires, and the dust obscured the face of the colossus, but the form fitting skirt suit and shiny nylons were unmistakable. Who was this, and why did they uncaringly destroy several blocks of their hometown?

If you found yourself directly underneath the colossal footwear, you would be marveling at how the sole, a bright red, would simultaneously cast a red pall over the sky, but also make it seem dark as night, seemed to make the towering building next to you seem insignificant.

Overhead, the words

Etched into the sole, like some Roman monument to footwear. The etched text would be less than 2” on woman’s pair of heels, but here, the cursive C would be about 5 or 600 feet, the size of a 25 or 30 story building. The colossal heels then shifted…a loud creaking sound emitted from the titanic pump. The mirrorlike shine of the pump seemed unfazed and undamaged by carnage it caused.

She was making another step.
