so I connected my patreon to discord, but when I went to discord, I didn't see any bot messages about being given a role. not sure what to look for.

You just want to make sure you have one of the passione roles on your account, you won't be pinged or anything. Also make sure you read the rules page and verify your account if you haven't already done so.

so I clicked on the button (white checkmark) to confirm that I have read all of the discord channel's rules. I do a see list of various roles, but I'm not sure how to be on one of them (passione, for example).

@Tim Assuming your discord account is linked to your patreon account correctly, the bot issues the role automatically. I’m sure Julias will inspect your current roles soon, ya should be good to go once that part is ironed out.

Thanks. Julius and Xellen helped solve my issue. Seems like the bot didn't update my role the first time, so I just disconnect and reconnect my patreon account to my discord account a second time. That worked.
