Shitty uncle caller here. Boy oh boy are some of these comments are…. Opinionated lol life is a hard a confusing thing to go through so I don’t blame people for not having the same perspective as I do! We’re all going through life for the first time so I’m very happy to hear advice & differing opinions! But to be a little fair, Eldis didn’t finish the call. I had added some more details I had either forgotten to write down or wrote down at a later time. I was pretty nervous writing it. So I’m sure I made some editing mistakes & I’ve since deleted the note. I’m a wonderful mailman not a wonderful Albanian producer lol I do wanna clear some things up: This was my mom’s brother. My dad was an only child My dad left it to my uncle because in the state of Ohio, your ex spouse cannot receive life insurance money. My parents were still pretty close so he wanted to leave it to my mom so she could help us manage it & figure how to use it properly. My mom & my step dad are really good with their money so they were going to help us make good decisions. My 3 brothers & I ranged from 19-27 at that time so none of us had really seen a big chunk of money like that before. My mom knew it was supposed to go to her. My parents had discussed it. Dad’s company didn’t notify him that he couldn’t legally do that. Shocker that they did shady shit to try to keep that money. I’m sure we could have fought it in court but we were so exhausted mentally dealing with his death. He had a brain aneurysm at 48 & was in a coma for about 2 months. That’s not really something most people plan for. Hindsight’s 20-20 we should have made a more concerted effort to make sure everything was up to date. So then finding out it was going to a trusted family member, we were thrilled for what we thought was going to be a headache & stress reduced situation. Just for him to keep it because of debt his bipolar wife, who went on a manic spending spree racking up tens of thousands of dollars worth of debt. If he would have been honest & told me that he needed help I wouldn’t have hesitated to GIVE him all that money. I didn’t need that much money. I was in the army. I had everything provided for me during that time & it’s not like I had any debt to pay off. My dad wanted to give us that money so we could do good things with it. Something like invest it & make it work for our futures. & if he would have asked that’s exactly what that money would have done. Gone to helping our family when down on hard times. Just like said uncle was there for us when we were going through hard times during my parents divorce. We owed him not only for that but because he’s family. A loved one. But he decided to forget all that & make a selfish decision. Little bit of cherry on top too. He’s a pastor. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. I’ll do my best to get to as many as them as I can. & thanks for taking my calm Stavvy. It wasn’t my favorite thing here but it was really nice to hear your perspective on the matter. Maybe I’ll try to come onto a live show so you can grill for more clear answers.

As a guy who has gone through phases of life at of morbid obesity to underweight and everywhere in between, hearing stavvy talk about how “it shouldn’t be allowed” for you to get hurt when you’re trying to get healthy, I feel that shit to hard. Being really overweight sometimes feels like being broke, like “oh you didn’t have enough money in your account? Well here’s a fee because you’re broke”. It’s so hard to get ahead. Anyone who is trying or has tried to lose weight don’t let the discouraging moments stop you from stepping toward your goal, you can do it. If I can, you can for sure, I’m a lazy pos. You just keep showing up. If you’re prone to hurting your back (outside of disc issues) my remedy has been very slowly and steadily working my back and core. Rack pulls and then after a long time eventually graduating to dead lifts actually have made me feel safe to tie my shoes again.
