Stavros, look into trigger point massage if you haven’t. I have been throwing out my back from scoliosis and being fat my whole adult life and have found that even the worst incidents can be worked out manually through trigger points. Many doctors misdiagnose severe back pain as disc related. Rest doesn’t help it. If it really it is a disc issue, ignore me. Love ya. Edit: The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Clair Davies is my bible and has saved me so many times

I just want her to be comfortable. My guess is she came in thinking itd be almost like zumba but she was in almost a fog of war after some performances. Of course I want to support and show her mom I support but maybe getting mom warmed up to what she might see would've helped. Definitely don’t do that man, you are far too worried about how her mom is doing when it’s not you doing this to her, just let her form her own opinion and stop trying to prune her reaction, you are being super overbearing when this isn’t sexual regardless of what you might believe, it’s not sexual to your partner, you don’t know what your partner is trying to express to you or her mother by inviting you so I truly think you need to take a step back and just enjoy the moment, if you worry about how everyone else feels your life and the experience is going to be wasted because the entire time you are hyper focused on other peoples mindset instead of just focusing on your partner being proud of her hard work.

I have definitely seen non sexual dances. Last show I went to some one made me laugh so hard I was in tears. I think it was really just uncomfortable sitting next to someone so uncomfortable. I know my girlfriend wanted to show her mom how strong she has gotten and of course her mom wanted to see that. Seeing 2 hours of other people dance in a variety of ways was not what she was prepared for. I remember seeing a cool drop some girl did and I turned to her mom and said something like" wow that was cool, I could never catch myself like that, what do you think was the coolest part?" She gave me a nervous chuckle looked away from me and just stammered out a few words. Same reaction everytime we talked the rest of the day. Id like to do something to help her get comfortable there because we both know her daughter wants us there.

Whether to support her daughter, or because she wants to be less of a prude and get outside her comfort zone, or because part of her enjoys it. Focus on how you can help her feel comfortable. Man, I remember being the 18 y/o kid who called, coming out of an abusive household with a super positive attitude but no one knew about my home life and no one told me to turn my energy and positivity inward to better and heal myself. It’s been many years since I left home and I’m still unraveling shit. Stav out here doing such good work even asking for a follow up with the guy. I hope he takes Stav’s advice seriously, my life would be pretty different if I had that said to me and stuck to the advice.

Hey stav just to let you know if u wrap a wet paper towel around a potato and microwave it for 3-5 mins (depending on how big it is) then put it in the oven it will cook in half the time.. and it taste the same doesn’t come out weird or anything like that lol
