Hey dude, am I being super thick, but when I open your c4d file and the RS render the materials are just a flat red? any tips? thanks

Jon Quintin

Yes I am on the latest version. Unsure how you mean regarding preview color usage data

Jon Quintin

Hey I downloaded version 3 and installed to C4D R21 But now it's not showing up in the menu at the top? any idea's please.

Brilliant tutorial! Thank you, learnt a lot! So basically you start out with the macro details and then you keep adding small details (smaller noises) for more variation? Also can you tell me why certain noises are called 'high frequency noise' or 'low frequency noise'? Thank you,

Nic

Hi! Thanks for all the amazing info. Just wondering how you add the light hair covering to some of your objects? Do you keep it within the same single procedural material?

Maria Belousova

Thank you a lot . The tutorial is super clear and useful.

Andrew

Thanks Vincent. This was very informative. Can I ask what is the shortcut key you are pressing to preview selected notes to the output?

Andrew

Thank you, That's what I thought you said but it doesn't work for mine. I will search how to set a shortcut for that because it would be useful.

hi vincent, wondering and hoping if you have time to answer a question based on this tut and a problem i'm having with instant mesher objects. it seems that my RS noises are swimming all over the place over the models coming out of Instant Mesher. I don't have this problem when i make a model directly in C4D. Since I like to use the volume builder to make a complex model and retopologize it with Instant Mesher it would be great if you could shortly let me know how you go about sticking your noises to the object! Thanks a lot in advance

vincentschwenk

It is a bit more complex, I also had some issues with swimming noise. If you can wait a bit, I will record a bonus tutorial for that.

Hi, Vincent! I have the same problem with swiming RS noise for texture=( Can U help me? Thanks!

vincentschwenk

Hey, what type of geometry do you use? Often only UVs help. But I will try to make a video as soon as possible. (Just right now, it is crazy busy in the studio)

carharttttt

Hi! I use object from instant mesher --> alembic. I try doing auto UVs for it in Rizom. but it's not help. Thank U ! And sorry if i''m interrupting=)

Hi Vincent. A quik shout-out...it is for the skill and care you demonstrated here, in this tutorial, that I follow you and subscribe here. I am grateful and can't wait to see the wonderful ideas you express in the months and years ahead.

Samuel

could you show this in octane if possible?
