Hello everyone, I hope you are all good and healthy.

So I finally finished my job, I am super happy with the result and I am excited to show it to you soon. This also means that I have more time for you guys. I am currently starting to answer some of your questions, starting with this video.
And tomorrow we also see us live on Twitch.

About the new PC, if you only work for stills this is defently overpowered, but if you need to deliver animations with deadlines, such a PC is super important.
But for my usual Instagram stuff the old one is still enough.

And this is the spec from the new one:

BaseBoard: X399 AORUS XTREME-CF
Prozessor: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X 16-Core Processor, 3500 MHz, 16 Kern(e), 32 logische(r) Prozessor(en)
4x NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
128 Gig of Ram

(Also note, that none of these companys paied me, I am just happy with their products :-))

Cheers
Vincent

Hi Vincent Can you tell me the model of the computer case you are using? I have a plan to buy a computer with 4XGPU. Is there anything I should pay special attention to when buying multiple GPUs? Thank you

Jason James

Are you using deadline with redshift ? Do you feel like this is enough to get jobs out or do you have to rely on cloud render solutions sometimes?

vincentschwenk

I am not using deadline yet, my jobs are always synced with dropbox, so I can just start a render at the old pc.

Hi Vincent, I am always the one who has many questions to ask.hah....Did you put all the textures ( or similar assets ) on the Dropbox/NAS? Then there is no problem with absolute path when switching computers

Jason James

That's a good idea. Never thought of that. Hdris etc.

Zhemin Wang

yeah, I put two copies of my assets on NAS and local disk...that's stupid and waste a lot of spaces

Hi Vincent, nice to say hello, good tutorials you do, I want to invest in a second monitor, could you give me a guide to models that are good, including yours? I have an apple cinema display and in the office a mid-range benQ, but I'm looking for something with the same type of visual as the led cinema, thanks for sharing.

Which kind of monitor do you recommend

sam care

weird question but is that chair comfortable? its hard to find nice looking and comfortable chairs that arent crazy expensive. i only have 1 gpu so now im jealous

sam care

Ah maybe it’s best I get a real office chair too. But I think I’d have to sell my computer to get a vitra 🙃. Cheers
