Hello everyone and welcome,

my original plan was to make a super quick tutorial session about what is new in C4D 2024. Well things in life never work like you imagine them. Instead of a quick progress I only faced bugs, literary everything I tried didn't work. Which is really frustrating. Also this tutorial is crazy, more then 4hours of recording. I really hope that you like it.

Also another fucked up thing was my microphone, which made an error in video 2&3. Sorry for that.

What do you think of the new C4D 2024?

Yeah, plenty of issues with the new version (especially with some fields and subfields). Also, maybe it’s just me, but I think the new rigid bodies give problems when working with real scale objects?

It’s almost unusable at a certain point when you have to constantly be asking yourself is this a bug or am I doing something wrong… having to always refresh connectors and make up for the bugs is a lot to expect the customer to sort it’s a bummer Maxon rushed this release to update their core so it can compete with Houdini and they can integrate an official marketplace probably going to be a long year of buggy bugs but you are always ahead building your next phase as toolkits v smart

On Mac when I export an object from Bridge to C4D, it doesn't add the material. Do you know any solution for this? I saw a solution what works on PC, but nothing for Mac.

Hi Vincent I am so excited for your new tutorial thank you 🙏🩵. I am having assertion failed errors after installing the VSK plugin and SMC v1.3.8 plugin not quite sure what to do to fix it on my mac also does anyone know me being new to cinema 4D 2024 and all how to set up your render for fields and shader fields animation as my renders are not showing the spherical field and shader field animations once the render is complete. I would really appreciate any help thank you

This looks awesome! Looking forward to this one. I have not explored rigid body too much in C4D2024 but generally a massive improvement over 2023.

I also had this issue on a Mac. To import the texture from Bridge make sure Node Materials for Presets is unchecked in Prefs / Renderer / redshift.
