Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them- Thank you very much for such a fun and entertaining reaction to such a beautiful movie I absolutely love, Reds! I've been very excited for your reaction to this incredible prequel to each of the movies within the Harry Potter Universe! And I have to admit, that while I really love all of the Harry Potter movies too... I actually love these Fantastic Beasts movies a little bit more. I love this world and the setting of these new movies, I love the music and cinematography, and I absolutely love each of these new characters!! I especially Newt Scamander, played by one of my all time favorite actors... Eddie Redmayne!! :) Newt is absolutely adorable, and he's a character I deeply love. Newt is actually my all time favorite character within the entire Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Worlds! And not just because he's played by Eddie Redmayne... Although, this certainly helps me to love him all the more. But no... I love Newt's awkwardness and shyness around everyone, because he connects so deeply to these beasts so much more. He deeply loves these beautiful fantastic beasts that he fights to save and protect, from humans, as well as wizards alike, who are so quick to hurt, abuse, and even kill them because they might be afraid of them, or misunderstand them. I love Newt's fight to want to educate everyone on why every creature and beast deserve and need to be protected. And all of Newt's beasts he protects inside of his suitcase are absolutely beautiful and incredible! I especially love Frank, the majestic eagle like creature, as well as Teddy... Newt's Niffler, and Pickett... the tiny tree like creature who stays with Newt at all times. The Swooping Evil is incredible too! I love all of Newt's beasts!!! :) As for this movie's overall story arc... I absolutely love it all! I love Newt's love for his creatures. I love the mystery surrounding this Obscurus. I love that because this movie is set so many years before Harry Potter, back in the 1920s, that the times within both franchises are so drastically different. Especially in the way Wizards feel about the non-magic folk. It's so backwards and tragic, and I hate it. And yet... I understand their way of thinking as well. And I love that Newt feels sorry for everyone who feels this way about wizards and non-magic folk being friends. I love how Newt tries to protect Jacob when the Wizarding Council demand that they obliviate him, then helps Jacob in the end to get his bakery. So marvelous!! As for the rest of the characters... I really love Jacob Kowalski, the muggle, just after I love Newt. I love Newt's friendship with Jacob, especially because we can see that making friends for Newt is incredibly difficult for him. So, their friendship is fantastic!! And I love the two sisters as well... Tina and Queenie. I love the growing romance between Jacob and Queenie. They're adorable together. And I even love Mr. Graves, who in the end is revealed to be Grindelwald, thanks to Newt, who recognizes he's pretending to be someone he's not. And then... While I enjoy and appreciate the Second Salemer boy's storyline all throughout this movie, and I do recognize that the actor who plays him... Ezra Miller, plays him well, I myself am not really a fan of his overall character. And this is why Credence is one of my least favorite characters within this movie, along with his foster, or adopted mother, who really is garbage. One thing more that I absolutely love, love, love about this movie... I love that it's revealed to us that only one of Hogwart's professors stood up for Newt back when he had gotten expelled from school because of an unknown incident with one of his beasts he loves so much. And I love that this one professor... is of course, Albus Dumbledore. Absolutely brilliant!! I love this!! And I absolutely wanted to come to learn more about what might have happened in this incident, and why Dumbledore defended Newt. Fantastic!!! :) Thank you and your daughter very much for this amazing reaction to a beautiful movie I love so much, Reds!! I can't wait for your upcoming reaction to it's sequel... Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald!! And I look forward to your reaction for the third movie... Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, too! :) Thank you again, dear friend! Sincerely, Heidi
