I think somewhere in S1, it was mentioned that Ricky couldn’t pronounce his vowels correctly when he was younger? So, he would call Nina by Nini which is how she got her nickname. I think her making a new account and calling herself “Nina” is a way that she’s trying to demonstrate that she doesn’t want to be “confined” by Ricky anymore and part of that means getting rid of the nickname he gave her. So, yes, this song isn’t just “a song” as we clearly see that it’s a song about how she’s actually feeling.
