All Eight Mission Impossible Movies- Thank you very, very much for watching all of these movies within this fantastic movie series, Reds! I had a blast watching these gripping and fun action spy thrillers again with you!! And I enjoy them all very much! Some of them are definitely cheesier than others, and some are most certainly way above the rest as far as how much I really love them! But as a while, I love this franchise for sure! As for the order in which I enjoy these movies... 1) Mission Impossible III 2) Mission Impossible IV: Ghost Protocol 3) Mission Impossible I 4) Mission Impossible V: Rogue Nation 5) Mission Impossible VII: Dead Reckoning Part One 6) Mission Impossible VIII: The Final Reckoning 7) Mission Impossible VI: Fallout 8) Mission Impossible II First... Mission Impossible III is my favorite of all right movies. One... Because I enjoy the grittiness and the overall missions, the high stakes, and most of all... I really love the whole team and the big bad within this movie too!! Philip Seymour Hoffman as the main villain throughout this movie is absolutely phenomenal!! By far and away, the best bad guy in all of the movies! He is so terrifying in the best sense of the word! Luther of course is back! And I love that this movie first introduces us to Benji, played by Simon Pegg, who is one of my absolute favorite characters throughout this entire movie series!! Plus... We also have Jonathan Rhys Meyers whom I absolutely love as an actor and I love his character... Declan, as well as Maggie Q as Zhen! We also have Keri Russell and Laurence Fishburne! And we are also first introduced to the woman who becomes Ethan's wife, Julia (Michelle Monaghan), for a brief time throughout this movie series, but who is a very important character too, nonetheless. I love that she appears in multiple movies too, starting in this one. Second... Mission Impossible IV: Ghost Protocol comes next, because I love that this movie brings in William Brandt, played by Jeremy Renner. Who is one of my all time favorite actors! Plus... I love that Benji joins the teams as a full time spy out in the field. Plus... I love the overall story, the high stakes, and the missions! The only reason why this movie isn't my very favorite, is because one... I am sad that Luther only makes a guest appearance in the very end of this movie, and two... Because the big bads within this movie are so weak as villains all throughout this movie. They're all boring. They are easily the worst of all the villains throughout this movie series. Third... I really love the first and original Mission Impossible movie within this movie series! Jim Phelps... played by John Voight, is a character taken from the original Mission Impossible television series from the 60s and 70s, I believe. He was one of the show's main characters and a hero like Ethan. So, seeing his character in this first movie revealed to be this movie's number one villain, was a little jarring and a little sad too. However, John Voight plays a terrific bad guy as well! Also... I love that we have a little bit with Emilio Estevez in this first movie too!! I'm so sad he didn't survive past the first mission in the beginning of this movie, but it is good to see him outside of the kinds of movies I am used to seeing him in. Family fun movies and dramas. We are also first introduced to Luther, whom I love throughout this movie series! And we also have Jean Reno and Vanessa Redgrave as Max, both pf whom I've loved in a number of their movies too! Overall... I love this movie's missions!! Mission Impossible V, VII, VIII, and VI are all in the middle of the pack for me, but I really do enjoy them all as well!! We continue to have Benji and Luther, we also get Jeremy Renner back for one more movie, we are introduced to Grace (Hailey Atwell), Paris (Pom Klementieff) who also is famous for playing Mantis in the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers Marvel movies, Ilsa (Rebecca Ferguson), Alan Hunley (Alec Baldwin). we are also introduced to Venessa Kirby who plays the White Widow, and whom is introduced to be the daughter of Max (Vanessa Redgrave), who was a villain in the original movie! Two Vanessas playing mother and daughter in separate movies! Henry Cavill plays a brilliant villain, and we get to meet Erika Sloane (Angela Bassett), who later comes to be the President of the United States in the final movie, and she's great too. As for my least favorite of all the movies... Mission Impossible II is still entertaining and fun for the most part! And I love seeing Anthony Hopkins in the beginning and in the end of this movie as Ethan's boss!! Luther and their second teammate... Billy are both great in this movie! However, I am not at all a fan of the team's thief,,, Nyah, played by Thandiwe Newton. She plays this character too cringey for my liking. Like she's trying too hard to be Marilyn Monroe or one of the classic Bond girls from the early James Bond movies, and I don't like her. Plus... The dialogue between Ethan and Nyah, as well as between Nyah and the villain throughout this movie, is also pretty cringey at times too. I don't like a lot of the dialogue and cheesiness throughout this movie, and there is a little too much action too, And while I love Dougray Scott as an actor, especially in one of my all time favorite movies... Ever After as Prince Henry... I don't care much for Sean Ambrose as this movie's main villain either. I enjoy this movie overall, but it is easily my least favorite of them all. As for Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, as this movie series' main hero... For the most part, I enjoy him well enough for sure. Tom Cruise is most definitely a talented actor and a phenomenal stunt man! No doubt. However, with the exception of very few of his movies such as A Few Good Men... one of my all time favorite movies, I really don't care much for him as an actor or as a human being. I never really have, because he isn't a good man. So, I don't jump to see many of his movies, until these Mission Impossible movies. However, I love them, all for the spy thriller stories, their action, and especially for the rest of the characters throughout these movies. At least a great number of them, all of whom I love so much more than I like Ethan. Characters including Benji (Simon Pegg), Luther (Ving Rhames), William Brandt (Jeremy Renner), Declan (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), Zhen (Maggie Q), Paris (Pom Klementieff), Jane Carter (Paula Patton), and Grace (Hailey Atwell), etc...Ethan Hunt is overall a good character, and no other actor can really play his character like he can. Plus... The incredible stunts he performs throughout all of these movies ever since Mission Impossible III, are all pretty incredible!!! There's no denying it!! My problems with Ethan Hunt come from my dislike and struggle with Tom Cruise most of all. But I do enjoy him too. Benji Dunn, played by Simon Pegg, is easily my favorite character throughout these movies!!! Simon Pegg is a gem of an actor in any movie I ever see with him!! He is so hilarious and charming!! And I am so, so happy that the creators of these movie immediately made Benji and starring character in all of the rest of them, ever since he was first introduced briefly in Mission Impossible III. I have to say... I was so afraid for Benji in this final movie, especially once he was shot in the end. I really feared he was going to die and I would have been absolutely heartbroken if he had. Thank goodness he survived in the end!!! I am so happy!! Personally, I would love to see these Mission Impossible movies continue, but with Benji as the lead star and team leader! This would be amazing! Jeremy Renner as William Brandt as team leader and star would be fabulous too!!! :) I also really love Luther too!! His death in the end of The Final Reckoning is very sad, and I most definitely cried for him. My favorite movie for his character is Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation! I really love his humor in this movie, as well as the dynamic between him and Brandt! And while his death is heartbreaking too, it's more understandable to see him die over Benji, given who their characters are and their age differences. Not that this really matter too much, but... It just makes the most sense for Luther to die, if they insisted on killing off at least of on this movie series' major characters to break our hearts. Rest in peace, Luther Stickell. Overall... I love these movies very much!! They are fantastic action thrillers and brilliant spy movies!! The casting is top notch for most of these characters, their overall stories told are great, and the locations are gorgeous and incredible!! And the music all throughout is fantastic too!! I especially love the main Mission Impossible theme song, that originated in the television series!! Thank you once again for watching these movies for me, my dear friend!! I am happy you really enjoyed them overall too!! And it was fun to watch another fun and exciting movie franchise with you too!! If you would b interested... I would love to know the order in which you might enjoy these movies too, Reds. If you wouldn't mind sharing with me, of course. :) Sincerely, Heidi
