Sisters- Thank you once more for this reaction to a great episode I really enjoy, Reds!! For the most part, I actually really enjoy this episode a lot! In spite of Cora playing a big role in this episode's major storyline. Which I will come back to shortly... First... The secondary storyline within this episode finally brings David and James together at last, and this storyline between these twin brothers is easily my favorite storyline throughout this episode! This is a reunion that I've been waiting to see for so long, even before our heroes came down into the Underworld. Even before I knew that traveling into the Underworld is even a possibility. I always wanted to see David and James somehow come together in some way or another, because not knowing his brother has always been a deep regret hanging over David. And their confrontations throughout this episode are fantastic, as well as tragic! I don't feel badly for James by any means. However, I absolutely feel badly for David. Because like he says to Emma... James is his brother. And I feel so badly that David now feels so much guilt over throwing his own brother into the River of Lost Souls. It wasn't on purpose. James left David no choice. David was only defending himself, as well as Emma, Robin, and his daughter too. With this being said... I absolutely love the fight between these brothers. I love seeing David suddenly appear to save his daughter as he punches James and knocks him to the ground. I just really wish that this storyline between these twin brothers for this episode was longer and stronger within this episode. Or better yet... given its own episode so it could have been bigger and better written. I absolutely would have loved to see a separate episode for their characters. Nonetheless... It's great that David mocks James about locking him inside the jail cell that he's been guarding over ever since becoming sheriff. So, of course he would know how to break out. I also absolutely love seeing Killian appear to protect the woman he loves as well, and I love how Cruella attempts to pick up the gun knocked out of James' hand, until Killian mocks her about being unable to use it. Which reminds us that Cruella is still unable to kill anyone thanks to Isaac taking away her ability to do so as was revealed back in season four's episode, titled... Sympathy For the De Vil. Brilliant! :) Oh, and yes... Emma can absolutely take a punch! I love the moment Cruella punches Emma for killing her, only for Emma to immediately snap back without being phased by her punch at all. Fantastic! :) And now for this episode's storyline between Regina, Zelena, and Cora... As much as I really enjoy the main storyline between sisters, I am also absolutely so annoyed with Cora's storyline in it, and seeing her move on to the Better Place. While seeing her finally right her biggest wrongdoing, upon splitting up Regina and Zelena as is shown within the backstory, and making them both grow up so cruel and lonely because of this far more worse villainess she herself was than her daughters, and finally seeing Cora show true remorse and kindness... In my opinion, it is so wrong that Cora gets to move on to the Better Place, after doing only one thing right in her life. After years and years of causing so much pain and terror, especially for her own daughters. Cora may have shown regret for her cruelty, and she apologizes to her daughters for splitting them up when they were little girls, but she doesn't ever apologize to Regina for killing Daniel, or to Zelena for giving her away. Not really. I suppose her apologies for everything else is also implied in her final words to her daughters, but I don't believe her final words are enough for her to deserve to be happy in her afterlife. I am so, so happy for both Regina and Zelena, but not so much for Cora. Next... I really enjoy the backstory between young Regina and young Zelena! I think they're adorable, and I love seeing that they were once sisters for a brief time. Allowing us to see for Zelena's sake that she can be loved, and that Regina can love her because they are sisters. And yet... This backstory absolutely makes me hate Cora that much more because of how cruel she is to her daughters by ripping them apart and then erasing all memories of one another from their minds, all because she is so disappointed with Regina because she shows that she loves someone other than Cora. Because Cora believes so much that love is weakness. I hate her! I honestly don't care that she had no heart in her chest. Because Regina has proven that love is possible for someone without it. Also... I love the moment Cora finds Killian's hook inside one of the bails of hay she's moving at Hades' orders in punishment for trying to defy him, and then seeing Cora knock Hades' thugs out cold upon gaining her magic back after using Killian's hook to free herself from the magic dampening cuff because the hook has magic over it. And I love how Cora calls Killian her fairy Godmother upon him freeing her when they come face to face again after so many years since their alliance. And lastly... I love the moment in the very end upon seeing Pan again, and then seeing the revelation that Rumple has agreed to ally himself with his father, in spite of Rumple's reservations in doing so since Pan gave his son his offer back in episode twelve of this season, titled... Souls of the Departed. It's fantastic!! I love Pan!!! Pan is absolutely one of the most devious and cruelest of villains all throughout this show! My favorites are still the Evil Queen and Rumplestiltskin in his imp form. However, Pan, as well as Zelena are both sensational too! :) Overall... I really enjoy this episode a lot, even though I still hate Cora in spite of Once Upon a Time's creators' and writers' efforts to try to make us feel bad for her. I suppose I feel a little badly for Cora when it appears that she's about to burn in her effort to cross over after we see her finally help her daughters and say all the right things at last. But not enough to where I can forgive her for all the pain we've seen her inflict upon her daughters their whole lives. And I also really enjoy David's and James' storyline!! I really enjoy this episode a lot! Thank you very much for your reaction, Reds! Sincerely, Heidi
