Lenticular card update (Patreon)

Hi guys! It has been a few days since I've posted first about the lenticular card of Filip I'm planning to print soon, and as expected I needed these few days to spot some things that needed some more editing. You know that feeling when you draw and you know something is just... off? This one has been a case of just that. The second frame of this animation just didn't sit right with me. There was something about the pose that pissed me off but I couldn't draw it better even though I tried many times. The strategy I use at moments like this involves leaving the piece be for the next few days and not even looking at it. I'm usually taking that time to focus on something completely else and get the problematic drawing out of my head. When I come back it's as if I see it for the first time and the mistakes are much easier to spot. The problem with this one was that even when I sat down to redo it with a "fresh" pair of eyes, I wasn't able to draw the pose better. Sure, some things looked better but the overall feeling was just not it. But I didn't give up on it. 2 out of 3 frames were good so I've decided to sit down to it and try addressing the problems digitally. I used the liquify tool. some stretching and warping, painting over some cut out and moved parts to make it feel better. And of lord, I'm so happy I trusted the process!

Now with all frames in place I can focus on creating next con merch on my list! I'm so excited to bring these with me to Dokomi and Magnificon!
