May goodie bag print and sticker (Patreon)

Hi everyone!It has been quite some time since my last post @-@" I still am not fully used to how much time actually is consumed by the con prep and then a full execution of the convention itself. But I'm back now and super excited for drawing again!I have some catching up to do and I'd love to start with the May goodie bag in a theme of a yearning demon 😏I started by playing around with his silhouette as a warm up. There's something super satisfying to see his upper pecks closing over the lower ones in a semi circular line.

Putting a multiple armed winged demon into a yearning position while keeping the composition clear to read is not easy, and truth to be told - I abandoned this idea mid way to let the complex and convoluted lines of the body just keep on confusing the eye of the viewer.

The first attempt wasn't bad, but I really wanted to try and draw the upper right thumbnail in a rendered version so later on I let myself explore it.

A few thumbnails and a take on a sticker that got me really happy!

The sticker will be semi-transparent and will measure around 3 inches ✨

The second take on the print - first one before editing, right after the scan.

And the second one after some work to level the greys and darken some areas to guide the focus of the viewer.

Next post I'll show you the thank you notes and the envelope sealer sticker that will be added to these goodie bags.
