Coloring Contest Winner! (Patreon)

Hey guys!  The entries are in and they all look amazing!

I went ahead and posted each one (with the artist's username in the caption) so everyone can see what was submitted, and each artist can get a little bit of recognition!  (on that note, lemme know if I got any info wrong!)

I gotta say, I love the color choices on ALL of these!  The muted pastels in tweel's, the bright primaries in Sweet Pea's.  The pink and blue hues and contrasting splatters in Tia Ising's (plus Sock's blue tongue!).  I LOVE the Guzma/Plumeria reference in Squeer's (you know I'm a sucker for pokemon Sun and Moon).  And the sheer level of detail in Gothic Oddities piece (I had to do a double-take 'cause it looked like something I would've colored!  I love the skull border and the barbed wire twisting through the image!)

But I've thought it over and I've decided to go with xbooxbooxbear's submission!  They took a lot of creative license with it: the background takes my isolated drawing and places it in a decidedly apocalyptic setting, with a hot firey sun and smoke on the horizon... it really gives the image a narrative.  Plus there's all kinds of little details that I didn't even notice at first glance; Sock and Jonathan both have scars... some are tiny little cuts that look pretty fresh, and some are larger, faded scars that have been stitched up and healed, like they've clearly been in this for awhile.  I also really love the blood on Sock's goggles (that IS what they're for!), and the yellowy tint on Jonathan's.  There's a lot of nice touches in this coloring job that really tell a story, and that's why I've chosen it as the winner!

Congratulations, everyone!!!  If you guys enjoyed this little contest, and would like me to do more things like this in the future, please let me know in the comments.  Thanks for participating, I hope you all had fun!

Stay safe!
