W2H2 Rough Animation 17 (Patreon)

[EDIT]: Added animation of Jonathan's mom!  Somehow that one slipped past me.

Hey guys!  I hate to admit it, but I had a pretty big case of artist burnout this month.  I still got some stuff done, for sure, but there was a week and a half where I could barely touch W2H.  But I had some real spurts of productivity last month, so I think it just kinda comes in waves, y'know?  Anyway, to talk a little bit about the animation:

The first gif is from a sequence that takes place at night, so I thought to jog my creativity I'd try and work on the color palette for that.... I'm pretty excited about it, I think it looks dramatic!    There's a few Jonathan gifs in here that aren't quite finished, but I thought I'd share them anyway... oh!  And the last gif of Sock warping in and out of different cartoon styles is PROOOOBABLY gonna' be scrapped and wont show up in the final film, but I thought it was kind of funky and maybe you guys can have some fun trying to pinpoint the different styles, so I included it.  But yeah, that'll probably be replaced with different animation in the final version.

In other news, LAST MONTH I mentioned that my gf was working on getting the synchronization rights for a Mother Mother song I wanted to use, but I don't think I'll be going that route anymore.  I was kind of hoping the license would be in perpetuity but it's actually a yearly license, and I'm not sure I want to pay a fee every year to keep using the song (even a cover of the song).  SO, instead, I'm jumping back to my plan of writing an original song... we'll see how that goes.  If that fails, I'll just replace it with a royalty-free, non Mother Mother track.  But at least now I know exactly what it would cost, so it's still an option if I change my mind!  Haha... I'm really lucky to have someone who did all that extra legwork for me!  But yeah.  That's where it's at right now!  We probably wont be getting a MM song, but you MIGHT be getting an original song from me.  If I don't completely wuss out, haha.

I hope to have a lot more to share with you guys in the next coming months!  Thanks for the all the support and I hope you guys had a happy Halloween!

Enjoy!
