Yes! I’ve been looking forward particularly to this episode and the next one, and your reactions to them…sad we’ve had two funerals to end shows in a row, but great to see some more of Inara and Mal. I got a glimpse of something here on what you were picking up…and now I’ve got a new recommendation for the channel to file away for the distant future: “Looking For Alaska”, a Hulu series based on John Green’s first novel. It’s eight episodes, so a small effort in comparison to the Buffy-verse…but I thought it was particularly well made, especially with the technical and foreshadowing stuff…and it had particularly wonderful performances by Kristine Froseth and the late Ron Cephas Jones (RIP, my man.) Can’t wait for some Objects in Space!

I don't know if it is just me but it is really hard to do these watch alongs. No matter what player I use I can not stay in sync with you. I keep having to pause mine and wait till I am in sync again. Your play back is so slow and even adjusting my players speeds I can not get a comfortable sync where I can just sync once then watch.

It was heartbreaking to see Mal talk about letting down Nandi in this episode because it feels a lot like he was saying he let down the show / audience since they knew it was getting cancelled. Weedon does this several times in the show and movie when someone is talking about the ship but it is really a conversation about Zoe.

my favourite ep of the series, strangely enough. Just sayin...are you telling me..out of the many times Inara hooked up with her clientele, it didn't break Mal's heart a little more & more? yet when Mal does it..it's devastating and an absolute? double standard or nah? just..food for thought...yet again..no one likes complications.
