Fun fact, Elizabeth Anne Allen who played Amy audition to play Buffy. She of course didn't get the role but the producers were so impressed with her audition they cast her for Amy.

I've seen this episode dozens of times and never noticed the nail connection so thank you for pointing it out. I must be very unobservant lol. That was a great reaction, I'm loving going on this journey with you.

I never noticed the nail thing either. But this is why Jacqui's reactions are the best. I really cannot wait to hear her breakdowns of certain future episodes.

It’s still so interesting to watch Season 1 having seen the whole thing…the production quality definitely went up significantly over the years. It’s also weird seeing characters we love from their future nuance and depth really acting like stereotypes this early, especially Zander and Willow and [name redacted to avoid spoilers]. Great catch on the French nails! Like others, I hadn’t caught that before.

Oh, to be 16 again! I would totally agree to that! But only if I can know then what I know now. I have made a ton of mistakes in my life. I have come to terms with the mistakes I have made that have all led to what my life is today. But coming to terms doesn't mean that I wouldn't go back and change things if it was possible. 🤣

My favorite character didn't appear until season 3 and didn't become a regular until season 4.

The use of of dolls, or poppets, in magic is not exclusive to Vodou and known in European folklore and witchcraft throughout the Middles Ages, as well as, in appearing in other cultures and points in history. Also the usage isn't always negative but has also been associated with healing or protection.
