Steve was also in 10,000 BC (2008) which I recommend as I believe it is underrated. He is basically Holden 12,500 years earlier. Plus, Joel Fry makes everything awesome. I hope you do a reaction to it before the expanse journey is over. Cheers

You're not crazy, they did recast Arjen. When they were cancelled by SyFy, the original actor booked another gig, and they couldn't get him back once Amazon picked them up.

When you said Flotsam and Jetsam, my mind instantly went straight to, you named them after the Thrash Metal Band? As for Sky High, had never even heard of that series.

I forget if it's been mentioned, but The Expanse was originally going to be a MMORPG before it the novels were written. Never made the video game but there is a tabletop RPG. You can really see it at this point in the series. All the factions among Earthers, Martians, and Belters with a thousand new worlds to explore, full of ancient alien technology that wants to eat your face.

Flotsam and jetsam are marine salvage terms. Flotsam is something that falls off a ship and is floating on the surface, jetsam is specifically something that is thrown off or jettisoned. There's also derelict, which is cargo that has sunk to the bottom of the ocean and lagan, which has also sunk, but is connected to a floating marker, such as a bouy. Now who's the nerd? :P And yeah, love the curls.

Very unfamiliar with the thrash metal band, but "Sky High" was a comedic teen superhero movie from 2005 that I loved back in the day. Been years since I've seen it, but it was a blast!

I'll have to check it out! I've actually wondered many times over this series if I'd seen him in anything else, and nothing came to mind. But now I need to rewatch Sky High, and I have a new movie to add to the list! I remember the trailer for 10,000 BC, but have never actually seen the film. Could definitely be a fun way to wrap up The Expanse!

Aw thank you! This is really the first time I've let it go natural for camera, so it arguably is new, but I think I'm going to do it more often. It's almost too long for me right now, but letting it go curly is actually so much easier to take care of than having to style it constantly, so I can tolerate it better this way. (I get the urge to cut it short every summer, when it gets too hot to use a hair dryer/curling iron, so I completely understand where you're coming from!)

The important thing is that Jim caught Alex's hat. You're right about the actos playing Sr. Avasarala. I thought the leather top Avasarala wore early in the show made her look small. Usually her wardrobe imparts gravitas.

LOVE "Sky High." And Steven Strait really does vanish into the roles of Warren Peace and James Holden, they're so different. Yeah, many years passed and he looks a little different, but. . . yeah, wow. Watching those two performances, I don't understand how he didn't blow up into the next Harrison Ford. Sky High Jokes: Season 1, when Holden didn't want to take the XO job, "Come on, Warren, you belong in Hero Class!" When he logged the "Scopuli" distress call, "Save the Citizen!" Season 2, when Ganymede was failing because the plants were dying, "Shoulda brought Layla along." 28:44: Yes, due in part to the time gap since the last time we saw Arjun, and the switch from SyFy to Amazon, the previous actor was unavailable, so they had to recast the character.
