I'm having a hell of a time getting episode 6 through copyright, and as I was putting together the full length reaction to episode 7, I realized that this discussion is important context for it. Since it's probably going to be another day before I can get episode 6 (with the full discussion) posted to YouTube, I figured I'd post this here for anyone who wants to watch it before my reaction to episode 7. I should be able to film episode 8 in the next day or two, so I won't be quite as behind 😂

I don't have much time to listen to your opinion on Zelda will definitely watch it later. But I will say I need Zelda to be a the bad. That's what they're missing is a legitimate bad guy.

Yeah, I don't see any other options, and they've definitely been laying the groundwork. Basically I talk about how and why I've switched sides from "convince me Zelda's the bad guy" to "convince me Zelda's not the bad guy." This episode was my tipping point from open mind to outright suspicion 😂

Rupert was our main but each season had that opposing figure(s) first season Rebecca and Jamie, second Rupert and Nate which continues into Season 3

Zelda All Along… 🤔

Loved the not-edited end, so real! And yes, she's getting more and more suspicious as we go further with the story! Also, I think I’m getting many mixed feelings in every episode because of her, or I don’t know if it’s only because of her. Ted Lasso always felt like a warm hug, but this season there is also a lot of uncomfortable (but necessary) things being talked about. First watch was always a feeling of “this was the best”, but on rewatches something feels weird for me…

Really enjoying these deeper dives. Love Tracey, hate Zelda. Zelda is the useful villian until she isn't anymore (possible redemtion finale). Useful like how she helped with the "contract negotiation".

Movie Night

Ha! Fully accidental. I recorded a couple bits in case I needed them for the YouTube cut, and just forgot to edit them out of this 😂 And I think the change in this season is twofold. One, when you're touching on something more controversial, I think it leaves a little less room for the sort of warm and fuzzy vibe that we've had before. But I also think that's a reflection of Ted's growth. Him accepting his issues and working through them means that he can't always be the sort of eternally optimistic Ted. Sometimes getting healthier means you're not as outwardly "light," so I wonder if that's something they're reflecting in the tone? He's still Ted, but he's let go of some of his (arguably) toxic positivity. Just a thought!

Makes a lot of sense!

Would you put it past her?

I love that when they see Roy Keeley says "He's here!" and Rebecca says "He's there!"
