Ted Lasso 3x07 Full Length Reaction

Comments

Michael G. Munz

I had the exact same reaction when I thought Nate would spit on the mirror. Though mine involved more profanity. :D

It is an amusing thought that the bar for Nate's behavior had dropped so low that "he didn't spit in the mirror" is such a huge positive, isn't it?

A couple things stuck out to me while watching. 1. You can see the team coming together the way they needed. Just before Sam came into the locker room, you see the team being "in sync" as Will is collecting the water bottles. 2. When Jamie approaches the whiteboard, he looks at the team and realizes they are listening to him/respecting him. You can see how it is something new to him.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had such a laugh out loud episode, but this was so good. Your moment of realization about the name of Ola’s was just like mine. Well, maybe your eyes got a little wider… The small things in this episode were so beautiful. But there was one moment…the first time we saw Sam’s father in the locker room, after Sam runs into his arms, we see this lingering look at Jamie. Obviously, there’s the reality of Jamie’s father…but also, I wonder if Jamie was feeling a bit of regret about what he said to Sam in season 1, telling him to go back in time and stop his mom from ****ing a “sad little man”. That was the old Jamie, but I think new Jamie really regrets that, and might be more than a little jealous at Sam having a Dad like Ola.

#4 - Ted... in the center 'heart' position, as a catalyst of 'goodness.'

The Last of Us filled our heart with sadness and Ted Lasso is refilling it up with joy and faith in humanity

I definitely saw Jack's behaviour as being red flags right from the moment at the start where she said can get very jealous. That was red flag number one and they continued throughout. Like you I'm happy as long as Keeley is happy but I worry that this is potentially her Rupert. Because I think he was probably more like Jack than Rebecca is letting on, probably as you said just showing trust in Keeley when she says it's fine.

I've never been more grateful for the timing of shows 😂

I hadn't thought about Jamie's comment from season 1, and that's an excellent observation! There were definitely a lot of parallels between Sam's breakdown with his father, and Jamie's father attacking him in the locker room, especially after Jamie talked about his dad last episode.

it feels like we're getting Nate the great back and Jade is helping with that.. Nate the scumbag can go to hell and I hope the relationship storyline helps get rid of that angry resentful nastiness that sent him to the dark side

Movie Night

I agree--I think we'll get Nate the Great back 😊 I don't know if Rupert will go over a ledge like Palpatine (we can hope), but I fully see a Darth Nate redemption arc coming. Nate needs to sit down with Dr. Sharon!

Movie Night

Absolutely!!! It's not hard to see why Sam is such a great man, growing up with a father like Ola 😊
