Hello lovely Jacqui, I also do like 1 and 3 from this franchise; 3 just because it has the best knife fight scene of the year when it came out. But I do have a problem about the High Table having too much power which I understand why they made 4 to to show us how the High Table and John Wick will conclude at the end.

Such a shame you didn't notice any of the symmetry or the teal/orange. ;) Real question: I've always been curious about the Continental's clientele. Surely they're not all assassins. Is it also just a high-end hotel for the rich where assassins also stay?

So... chapter 4? I feel like we need a conclusion to the saga one of these days. He's had enough time to rest and heal in the mean time, right? :D I did like this one over all more than #2, but I still feel like #2 had a few more fun, unique and standout set pieces peppered throughout, while this one was fairly steady from start to finish. And to answer one of your questions that I still remember, the short Japanese sword used in the fights was probably a wakizashi. Same design and construction as a katana, but obviously shorter. Favoured by samurai in the later ages for indoor close quarter fighting. Not as short as a tantō, which adopted a more ornate and ceremonial function.
