Here's everything I know so far. I'll let you guys know as soon as I have a definitive answer, but it's not looking good right now.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post | SAG Strike

Good luck Dear! All of this is confusing at best.

As a completely uninformed spectator, let me tell you exactly what you should do.. Honestly, error on side of caution.

No worries. Thanks for the update! I fully support the reasons for the strike, so if they tell you you cannot post here for now, it's all good. We'll live. ;-)

You do whatever you need to do. We support all of you, and we will be here for your next post! Take care! 👍

Michael G. Munz

I'm gonna miss your reactions in the meantime, but I completely support the strike, and completely support you in your choice here!

You're doing the right thing by being absolutely sure. These situations always have conflicting information. A tip: Keep every official communication you have, including but not limited to the ones you base your decision off of, and the ones that you sent and got no response to. Save them as PDFs so that if something wonky happens with your email, you're protected. I'd hope the Unions will be fair with any disputes, but it never hurts to keep documentation in case you need it. I had unsubbed just because I'd followed specifically for Ted Lasso, but I'm going to resub to support you through the strike. It's not much, but I hope it helps.

I wonder if there's a way to tide yourself over until the strike is resolved (hopefully in favor of the unions and the 99%). Maybe you could react to movies/media that aren't associated with the struck studios. Super Indie films? Music reactions? Maybe a playthrough of the first season of "The Walking Dead" telltale game and other story-heavy, narrative-heavy games?

From what I understand, you are not forbidden from reacting to work that is not produced by the AMPTP. So how about you expand the horizon and include reactions to cinema not in English? There are plenty of worthy films made in Europe, Asia, non-US America and Africa to cover. You could start with some classics, like new-wave French cinema, or some Chinese or Japanese classics. I would say you have a lot to choose from, and who knows, you may expand your audience. I don't see a lot of reaction channels doing cinema not in English, so you may turn this strike into an opportunity :)

Jacqui you have great camera posture, and I just wanted to tell you that. As far as the rules of wether you can or can’t react because of the strike, don’t worry I’ll still be here.

Sean Novack

Do what you have to, but I joined a Patreon channel for content. If that content won't be produced I'll have to drop the channel. I appreciate you warning us.

Ghost Writer

you are allowed to do reactions and other youtube content as youtube doesnt count to the industry. Michael Rosenbaum for example is still posting "Inside of You" content, as are other actors. however if you are uncomfortable, id say wait.

Movie Night

I would agree, and if I don't hear back from SAG soon, I'm probably going to start posting again, because I feel strongly that I can argue my videos are reviews. I just know they've said in the past that reactions count as promotion, so I wanted written confirmation, so I couldn't get in trouble. It's been almost two weeks since I've email them though, so I don't want to keep waiting.
