Patreon is being forced to start taxing people their Patreon pledges based upon the living location of individual patrons, since each country/state has their own rules.

I imagine this won't apply to a lot of my patrons, since everything on my Patreon is generally 'early access to public stuff' which should be tax free in many places. But you never know.  This starts next month.

Patreon will be releasing a public statement/e-mail about this soon, but I figured I should give you a heads up. This could be zero tax, or anywhere up to 20% tax, depending on where you live and what your patronage is getting you.

Smells like I might need to up my pledge.

Up your pledge? You already pledge a lot! And you may be paying more with this tax change.

Don't tempt me. I'll do it. You keep on smacking these outstanding stories into the stands time after time again and I start to feel like I need to contribute more.

Well, I struggle to say no to more money, Do whatever makes you happy. :p But at the same time, I'm in no rush. I still need to work on getting AIL running on a schedule, and then there's whatever comes after MLV, which will be my own setting that I can publish books in. Lots of time and room for growth.
