Back to work! Since I aim for a chapter every 10 days normally, you'll only have to pay for 2 chapters this month.

I'm almost 6k words into AIL The Demon Queen, and I should put the C vote the next AIL chapter soon.

MINOR SPOILER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This chapter sets the stage. Unfortunately, due to how much stuff is going on, I couldn't end the chapter with some proper tension. Let me know if that's an issue, that sometimes some chapters don't have any proper tension. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to cure the problem with this serial format, though. Ideally, I'd spend 30k-50k words building up some proper framework for tense events that last 30k-50k, and that repeats thrice a novel, give or take depending on how I've structured the story. But serial format makes that lead to weird chapters, where in some nothing happens, and then in some EVERYTHING happens. 😅

Malcolm

I was just wondering when'd you post again! Nice to see you back I don't have many problems with these setup chapters, but only if they're just a chapter. As long as stuff starts ramping up next chapter I'm good

Rogue

Question: Is there a reason Viktor used a sword like mekhet instead of a knife? Also because of jack beast is he as physically strong as like a ventrue of 50 years? Or is power boost limited to animalism and dominate.

AniNovu

Viktor used a sword because the man was obsessed with presentation, and swords look cooler than knives. As for Jack's Beast, I can't spoil! Letting the Beast up to the surface does provide some pretty awesome benefits (called Frenzy in the rulebook), namely an increase in physical ability. But as I've been hinting through the story, Jack is a little unique. :3

Rogue

Jack wondering if he can dual wield pistols like he's Dante or something 😂.

AniNovu

Daniel probably could. But then, he doesn't have much need.

Rogue

Chapter day? 😗

AniNovu

Tomorrow! If things go according to plan.
