Who wouldn’t want Nightcrawler giving the eulogy at their own funeral? How cool is it to get Bastion in here? Who else is loving all of Morph’s morphing across these eps? How funny is Rogue throwing Captain America’s shield into the woods? Did Bastion’s childhood home have a bit of a Ray Finkle vibe? Is this the most unlikeable Charles Xavier has ever been? And how cool are these Prime Sentinels that look like Deadites from Evil Dead?! I’m extremely close to calling out of work so I can listen to this now.

Milan Davidek

That or an hour and a half shit break 🤔

Dominic Kovell

I will attest to your lengthy bathroom-related needs if your employment requires it.

Milan Davidek

😂 thank you but I think they’re used to it by now

Zerox

Explosive diarrhea, is the best excuse

Rob Brown

I don’t know how I missed it last week, but Harmony, PA, is just a couple miles down the road from me! And where do I live? I live in Evans City, which is where Night of the Living Dead and The Crazies were filmed. As Romero as you thought this episode was, it’s even more Romero than THAT!

Matt

I cancelled a meeting for this

This series made me do a rewatch of the 92 series. Cable saying "I tried hundreds of times and it never worked" is a crazy callback to *beep beep* "pLoT HoLe" from the first season. Cable shows up randomly for an ep on Genosha, I think it's Gambit who asks who he is and he says "the wild man of Borneo" and then runs off into the trees again. When he shows up later in the series they just don't acknowledge it.

Infinite Terror

If you watch The Wolverine after X-Men Origins: W, it goes up like half a star/letter grade.

G Goldhar

My prediction for the ending is that the current storyline will resolve neatly and well, but at the last second we'll get an ominous tease for Onslaught in season 2

I need a Gleep-Glossary-style sideshow where you guys go through the X-Men characters

Eren Keskin

Magnet Daddy was right all along. Wolverine fucks around and finds out. Dr. Doom says, "Nazi punks fuck off," and we're proud of him for it.

Good news for you guys: season 2 scripts were already written and completed when they fired the creator and showrunner (still a mystery why this happened, btw). They also announced this week (or maybe it was just reported) that seasons 3 and 4 have been greenlit and will be produced back to back Also, I now need a shirt that says, "Magnets was right"

Milan Davidek

YES!!! Just picturing Leech or Blob… brimming with potential

Zora McBride

Hey yous guys, thanks for continuing to make the madness bearable! And as ever, thanks for the new show. I adored X-men the animated series as a kid, definitely was what got me into the property. I'm so excited to go through this new one with my four favorite podcasters although, to be fair, Erick, this bluesuit demands an accounting for the absence of pod in recent months. You and detective W may Report to the Safari Inn for a bean dinner and a proper bludgeoning, though not necessarily in that order! :P Love you guys, have a great time on tour. See you back in Jersey some time!

Frank Grimes

i wish they'd either make these eps 1 hour, or have at least 20, 30min eps. They're going blazing fast...from Mag getting the school, storm losing powers, genosha genocide, X coming back to now, within 8-9 eps? on fox, this prob would've been at least 2-3 seasons worth of material..although we only prob had 1 filler ep this season, whereas a longer season would have more filler eps

Matthew Lloyd

I loved Jean going full mom mode and Cable acting like a teen and saying "quit bossing me around"

Tristan

Yes 3 ep drop! The series has the best rouge writing of any movie or cartoon, but the voice actor is too old(doing a good effort). A little awkward.

Maybe this makes sense to other people here, but I don't really understand which characters knew Professor X was still alive. If the X-men knew, why did they all go along with Magneto when he showed up with Professor X's will? None of them but Rogue wanted him there; it seems to me they could really easily have just told Magneto that Xavier wasn't dead, so he hadn't inherited anything. I suppose because I didn't see the original series, I don't really understand why they had to keep Professor X being alive a secret in the first place. What would people do if they just said that he went into space with some alien race? So, I really don't get it. Bastion appeared in the comics in 1996, but he wasn't in too many stories. His big story was Operation Zero Tolerance, and in recent times he was the villain of a crossover event between the X-books called Second Coming. I also really love his vocal performance––I think it's the best acting I've heard in the series. Thanks WHM crew for an awesome episode!

The R rated cut of The Wolverine is pretty ok

BBB

Wolverine should always sound like a grampy considering he was born in 1888

Matthew Lloyd

So did Bastion like instantly age to an adult?

Billie Jackson

I'm so old I have old friends in common with Conor Oberst from high school and college, was around when they all began making music and when they started to do so professionally, started a record company, etc. And told Conor at age 14 that there was no way he could possibly know much about love and relationships and that he'd never be a success. Kinda the most embarrassing moment of my life, but I was in college and very drunk at the time.
