On this edition of the Gleep Glossary, we're learning all about another completely insignificant Child of the Jedi, Nichos Marr! Along the way, we find out that Nichos was apparently pretty CUT, only got to study with Luke Skywalker at the Jedi Academy for a year before dropping out due to contracting a space STD, had his consciousness transferred into an artificial body, and then eventually had his soul sucked out into the force along with his lady friend's, to live forever in the nether space. Real dramatic stuff!

Gleep Glossary: A Star Wars Story is a show where the guys try to honor the history and legacy of Star Wars characters, most of whom we've been told don't matter anymore!

Thank you for being so incredible by continuing to support this weird, wild adventure we're on! You make this all possible! We know you have lots of options when choosing which pods you listen to and we very much appreciate you carving out some time for us!

Sorry it took me so long to get here

Good lord. Did Eric will Spaceballs 2 into existence during this recording

Jason

Nichos Marr sounds like the name of a comedian that is famous solely for being one of Rogan's cronies.

New gleaps! New leaps! New gleaps! Serbesa Crystal! Don't forget to where the blu!

MarkNM

Truly, the EU was the superior SW continuity.

Bryce Zubriski

A Jenny Nicholson discussion in the episode? My world’s are colliding! Quick fyi though, Jenny wasn’t invited but actually bought their own tickets.

Andrew Dean

Ive said it before but Jenny Nicholson would be a great guest for whm.

Stormy

Just wanted to let you know that it's actually pronounced Nichos, and not Nichos.

For me the point of contact for the star wars hotel was dinner theater. Strong dinner theater vibes. But I've never been on a cruise so I may be speaking from ignorance. Jenny Nicholson is one of the very few not shitty YouTubers so I, as a fellow old, find her very easy to watch, and as always she has a lot of interesting observations. Also quite funny in my opinion, but ymmv.

Darth Mohel is truly one for the ages!

Eric, you'll never believe how many variations of Blue Lives Matter Mickey ears exist until you go to Disney.

Lar

Oh man, this one was great. I think y’all need to cover Ki-Adi-Mundi sometime soon after that weird kerfuffle about his birth date lately. We need the gleep glossary lads to rule on it.

Lar

Idk if Disney has been cracking down on guests wearing blue lives knock-off merch but I believe they have cracked down on weird political knockoff shirts when people come in.

I.C. Weiner

I have an annual pass to DLand and go fairly frequently, I haven't seen a downturn weirdo shirts, but maybe they're hiding them until they get in now

Smaug

I sincerely enjoy you guys talking shit about Disney World, it is all the things you mention. It's silly and expensive. I *also* am with you on your dislike of the Marvel universe. And it's also true that the Guardians of the Galaxy ride at Epcot is the greatest amusement park I've ever been on and I had a preposterous amount of fun on it. Flock of Seagulls' I Ran was the song I pulled when I rode it...ridiculous!

A little late to this one: I’m about ten years older than you guys, and I’d really recommend watching Jenny Nicholson’s video. (Watch it at 1.5x time to get through it quicker!) She’s both clever and smart as a cultural commentator, and I think her YouTube videos are really good. She uses the Star Wars video to make some great points about Disney’s overall penny-pinching. It’s a long watch, but I’d say it’s worth it.
