On this month's Animation Damnation, we're chatting about a ridiculous episode of the janky, yet charming 1990's cartoon adaptation, Fantastic Four!

The episode being discussed, "Mole Man," originally aired back on December 3, 1994 and features Marvel's First Family taking on the hilarious adversary, the Mole Man! We also have Rockefeller Center sinking into the ground, an obnoxious landlord character voiced by Stan Lee's wife, some gross subterranean freaks, and, the reason for the season, Johnny Storm (voice by Brian Austin Green himself) singing a song in public to woo his snooty lady friend!

Thanks so much for being so awesome and supporting Animation Damnation on Patreon! Please be sure to spread the word! Your support is what keeps this operation going! We know you have a number of choices for pods and we appreciate you spending some time with us!Original cover art by Felipe Sobreiro.

Frank Grimes

still one of the most catchiest intro songs....Reed Richards is elastic, sue can disappear from sight, johnny is the human torch, the thing just loves to fight!

Dominic Kovell

Mole Man's got nothing on THE UNDERMINER

Tim Batson

That BAG track kinda slaps. Good job polishing that turd Pharcyde

MarkNM

I'm more of a Chicken Mole Man, myself.

Matt

TFW Mole Man's minions get pizza Fridays and you don't

MarkNM

Mole Man of the people.

James C Harris

This FF cartoon topped the Wild C.A.T.s theme song for worst comic book theme song

BBB

That Morrison FF is great, but reviled among some readers, I dunno I think it’s pretty good. Check out Jonathan Hickman’s very long run on that book, he breathed some serious life back into that team. They just collected it in a sleek ten dollar volume.

johnny stocker

That's seriously Brian Austin Green? I kid you not, just watching it and was about to come here to say that Johnny Storm song was even worse than some David Silver horseshit 😅

RJ Cunningham

I felt the fantastic four were already antiquated by the 90s. I always got a weird church-y vibe from them. Reed Richards just feels like a big Mitt Romney guy

Todd B

"And Thing loves to fiiiiight--" "He's Ben Grimm - NOW TALK TO HIM, DAMMIT!"

Busiris

Sounds like they didn't know at the time of recording the episode that Paul Walter Hauser is Mole Man in the new movie!! Awesome casting.

Hard To Gwil

Great episode guys, legit belly laughs over here with the BAG impressions. So precious

Craig

It’s reminiscent of the old 60s Marvel cartoons, which had amazing theme songs. Check out Hulk’s on YouTube if you’ve never heard it

Matt Eldritch

Perfect casting would've been Danny Devito as Mole Man.

Busiris

Oh I would've loved that. 😍

D Metcalf

I hear Natasha leonne’s voice saying “pebble on me”
