It's our monthly recap show for sexy, 1990s, Los-Angeles-set primetime soap operas, MELR0210!

First up on Beverly Hills, 90210, we're chatting about the After School Special episode, "Senior Poll"! Originally airing back on April 7, 1993, this episode features Kelly Taylor continuing to battle her eating disorder, Dylan continuing work on his memoirs, the kids getting competitive over high school senior poll awards, Brenda thinking about going back home for college, and Steve Sanders begrudgingly taking the Walshes to a Laker game!

Then, across town on Melrose Place, we're talking about the bonkers episode, "And Justice for None"! Premiering on November 14, 1994, this episode features Alison getting involved with party animal Zack Philips of Rage Records, Billy and Susan rubbing it in Alison's face, Jo going to trial over custody of her baby alongside her terrible lawyer John Saxon, Amanda and Peter plotting to take D&D away from Bruce, Jane being incredibly stupid with allowing Australian Chris into her finances, and Jeffrey coming back into Matt's life out of nowhere after months of radio silence!

MELR0210 is a WHM podcast where the guys blissfully stroll through the Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place timelines. The TV episodes covered will run in broadcast order unless otherwise specified.

Thanks so much for continuing to support the WHM Patreon! We know you have a lot of options when it comes to podcast entertainment and we're grateful you chose to spend some time with us. You're way cooler than Dylan McKay!Cover art by Felipe Sobreiro.

"Big Apple, 3 a.m." riffs never get old. HOH!

Les Whinen

Cabin can really hit a dinger sometimes. That joke about Jon Saxton taking Allison's father to the school boilerroom got me. Well done

James C Harris

I love how everyone's John Saxon impersonation is Phil Hartman's Frank Sinatra

Ray

What is this kangaroo court shit lol Justice for Jo! Also, when the hell did Kimberly decide she wanted a baby?

JaxHC

Probably Dyan Cannon agreed to be there because she and Cary Grant were Celeste’s real-life parents.

So this episode stars with Kelly leaving a meeting at a support group, buying a hamburger on the way home, which she carries into the bathroom while her mother is taking a shower and talks to her for who knows how long while this hamburger is sitting in a paper bag before she finally mentions it and takes out of the bag, in the bathroom, and takes a bite.

“Most likely to be mulch: Scott Scanlon” totally sent me….

Liam Carroll

For further details on cornfucking, see Claire Denis’s film Bastards! That’s a joke for about 3 or 4 people!

Erica Ventura

I saw a commercial yesterday that showed a clip of Donna and David embracing and then panned out to a woman who said if you remember these people you need this wrinkle cream. f*** you olay

Mike Kling

How did Jo not get the needle with these character witnesses?

I.C. Weiner

As a lawyer I must say you guys gave Steve a really hard time over nothing. Judges really love it when you call them gavel guys (side-note: I've been a lawyer for 12 years and have never actually seen a Gavel Guy use a gavel)

Jason

Need to win the Powerball so I fund Eric’s Western called “Party Girl Kid” and Andrew’s Jarmusch-esque film “In the Back with Gin.”

D. Duke

Commentary on Bamdit: Bandit Bandit?

Mitochondria

I hyperventilated laughing when I realized that "bandit : bandit bandit" was real. I thought for sure Eric was doing a bit

Tim Batson

Walsh tier never fails

Sarah Culp

The montage of Melrose Place residents getting questioned in court about how fucked-up all their lives are, is one of my all-time favorite bits on the show.

TJ Guiney

as a UMN grad, I have to say we aren’t half the cornfuckers that Iowa grads are

TheBestMike

So...anyone ever track down those old "Bandit" films? I completely saw those way back and want to check one out.

Shawn

I’ve been unsuccessful tracking them down for close to a year. Would love to find out where I can watch them.

Billie Jackson

As a UNL graduate, we built the corn right into the team names
